I believe this strata was laid down 100 million years ago -- everything I've looked at leads me to believe that this fossil is of an animal that lived 100 million years ago or even more..........
Except it doesn't work that way. Most geological "dates" and strata are dated using radiometric methodologies. But good try.

LittleNipper wrote:Okay, so you have at least two young elephants. Are they considered clean or unclean? If unclean, then there were seven young elephants.

Did you just read what I wrote? A male baby elephant and its mother, a female, who could produce offspring through incest. One baby elephant, which would either require its mother to eat more food if it was nursing or its own food supply (~1% of the total Ark area as I showed with my math earlier).
If elephants were unclean then hay for seven male elephants would have been around 11-13% of the total storage area for the Ark. Which one do you want it to be?

OMG! There were dinosaurs on the ark??? eating hay???
Apparently the T-Rex was eating dehydrated meat bought at Gander Mountain.
A larger question about dinosaurs if we really want to go down the dinosaur path. An elephant eats 200-400 lbs per day and weighs 5-7 tons. The largest dinosaur based on fossils (link below):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amphicoelias_fragillimus
Is postulated to have weighed up to 135 tons...but let's round down to be fair to say 100 tons. Okay that's 20 times the size of an African elephant. If we consequently conclude that dinosaurs eat 20 times the food that's 4000-8000 pounds of food per day. So if an African elephant required ~2% of the Arks space for food alone that's ~40% of the available Ark space in hay alone for one dinosaur for one year. Do we really wanna continue with math time for Bongo? Bueller? Bueller?

This page just keeps giving:
Studies of nonmechanized animal care indicate that eight people could have fed and watered 16,000 creatures. The key is to avoid unnecessary walking around. As the old adage says, “Don’t work harder, work smarter.”
Really? If they worked 24 hrs a day to feed and water the 2,000 animals they were tasked with caring for they would have less than a minute for each animal (60 mins * 24 hrs = 1440 mins).
The page creates more questions than answers. Basic math makes most of these feasibility arguments crumble.

The article Little Nipper references is written by John Woodmorappe (a pen name for Jan Peczkis) an infamous young earth proponent.
Here is a link to some articles that highlight the... let's use the term 'erronious facts and figures' ...used by John in his articles and publications etc.

Easy solution... Noah used the same spell Jesus did to feed the 5000.
