Since your expectation is no longer existent then why is this thread still here?

By what justification would you post something that you, admittedly, do not expect can be considered as true?

Twisting words to suit you, your spiritual interpretor needs calibrating.

I take it that, Drifting is claiming that the reports are genuine, but the figures have been falsified. therefore untrue.

Not at all.
The figures are genuine, nothing has been falsified. It's just that subgenius can't figure out/be bothered/afford to obtain the publicly available records for himself and I tired of his trollish little game.

I believe the Church in Canada has also recently published the financial accounts (again because law requires it rather than out of choice) and it paints a similar picture.

So you believe that the church's figures are correct and have not been adjusted & internally laundered in any way?

Not in a fraudulent way, no.
Could they have used legitimate means to minimise tax liabilities and make unspecific some of the numbers? Sure they could and probably have, but the big numbers in terms of what's come in and what's been spent will likely be accurate. Are the costs of Mission Presidents etc included under Missionary Expenses or Staff Costs, I don't know. But those costs are in there.

Which numbers do you think are suspect and why?

That's what I mean, Seriously Temples raising that much money?
I understand big companies, divide up into departments and then make ridiculous payments to one another to balance the books and keep the tax collectors at bay.

But is it being honest in your business dealings with your fellow men?

I think Temple income, as well as the clothing rentals, canteen and vending machines, will also include the turnover of the the associated shop that sells clothing, scriptures, books, pictures etc. As well as accommodation charges for visitors.

However, I do agree that it sounds 'high'.

Half a million per Temple (2 temples in the UK generating £1million total) equates to about £10,000 per week (if one excludes the two week cleaning shut down each year).
