I don't really understand what that means

They do not see that their life has value becasue their religious leaders have told them that they have no value unless they follow their flavor of God.

I actually expected my comments to fall on deaf ears. I see I was right yet again. To bad it is the way it is. You and those like you feel absolutely justified in ranting and picking on anyone that you choose. Of course you pick on people of faith because they are such an easy target. And of course with your friends and a knowing wink and nod you know in advance who the targets are. But have one of those people rant back, what an insult. How dare they actually address me like I am some kind or moron. It is I that declares moron status don't they know the rules?

Like I said grow up. I put up with insults all of the time. Either get some thick skin or get out of the fight.

Frank,
What the hell are you talking about? Where have I been ranting and where did I get offended? Where did I address you like you were a moron?

"Telling people that there is a God and a judgment and afterlife of heaven or hell is just a way to control people in this life."

This an opinion and one that you can possess without stepping on others beliefs.

"Telling people that they are here to grow and learn through their suffering and afflictions is just another way to try to control their behavior. Maybe it makes their lives a little more bearable but maybe if they knew that this is really all there is they wouldn’t put up with the crap their leaders try to pull off."

Again another opinion.

"Yet your answer is "Well you should have controlled your sex drive and had less children." If God is omnipotent, I would think he could find a way to answer that man's prayer without violating the prime directive of screwing with people's free agency if he wanted to. Maybe he just doesn't want to."

You used quotes in your remarks. Please give me the date and time of the post you quoted from. If you can't use quotations properly don't use them. Neither Jo nor I are so lame we can't remember what we write. For you to assume we are so lame is treating us like morons. And this is classic rant. I rant all of the time. Most posts are by the way. I admit it and you deny it. Who is blind here?

Offended

"I love this. You have no freaking clue who I am or what I have done with my life. And even when I do say, you either won’t believe me or say it wasn't enough. I have spent years in developing nations on three continents helping in construction projects, providing clean water and coordinating medical attention. It was there that I starting wondering why so many people on earth have to go with so little and why so few have so much. I participate with several micro loan programs that get money straight into the hands of the people who need it."

But this is my opinion that you were offended. Maybe we should all vote to see if others think you were offended. Oh, and this a rant also.

And these comments were meant to offend.

"It is called the lucky sperm club"

"But you must remember that all of those pregnant women and their fetuses were evil and deserving of God’s punishment. It is also important to remember that he did it because he loved them soo much."

I use sarcasm all of the time. I know I offend the ideas of others. Yet you can do this and believe you are not talking down to others? Give me a break. I know what I do. Why do you deny what you do? You need to take a good long look in the mirror. I am a smart, sarcastic, opinionated, and spiritual person. You are a smart, sarcastic, opinionated, and worldly person. Why can't you own up to it?

Frantalk,

People aren't picking on you, they are challenging your assertions.
People aren't ranting, they are questioning and because you have no reasonable evidence to support you, you get all huffy and hurt and offended.

So right back at ya' "Either get some thick skin or get out of the fight."

But frank doesn't like anyone expressing positions contrary to his. I wonder if he is fine with people trying to show satanists that their faith is wrong.

Perhaps he doesn't view you as spiritual, or himself as worldly. These are terms in which I would think he may not agree with your views of what they are. I see you as spiritual and worldly as anyone else here. You might want to be less judgmental about others who you really don't know. I would think you would view being judgmental as a worldly trait.
