Re: Bible verse by verse
Exodus 27:1-21 Tey are to use acacia wood to construct a square altar 7 1⁄2 feet wide, 7 1⁄2 feet long, and 4 1⁄2 feet high. There will be a horn for each of its four corners so that the horns and altar are one piece. Overlay the altar with bronze. They are to fabricate ash buckets, shovels, basins, meat forks, and firepans, all of bronze. There is to be made a bronze grating for it, and attach four bronze rings at its four corners. They are to Install this grating halfway down the side of the altar, under the ledge. To carrying the altar, poles from acacia wood overlaid with bronze are to be made. These poles are to pass through the rings on the two sides of the altar. The altar must be hollow, made from planks. They are to build it just as they were shown on Siani. They are to form a courtyard for the Tabernacle, enclosed with curtains made of finely woven linen. On the south side, make the curtains 150 feet long. They will be held up by twenty posts set securely in twenty bronze bases. Hang the curtains with silver hooks and rings. Make the curtains the same on the north side—150 feet of curtains held up by twenty posts set securely in bronze bases. Hang the curtains with silver hooks and rings. The curtains on the west end of the courtyard will be 75 feet long, supported by ten posts set into ten bases. The east end of the courtyard, the front, will also be 75 feet long. The courtyard entrance will be on the east end, flanked by two curtains. The curtain on the right side will be 22 1⁄2 feet long and supported by three posts set into three bases. The curtain on the left side will also be 22 1⁄2 feet long and supported by three posts set into three bases. The entrance to the courtyard will be a make of a curtain that is 30 feet long, made from finely woven linen, and decorate it with beautiful embroidery in blue, purple, and scarlet thread. Support it with four posts, each securely set in its own base. All the posts around the courtyard must have silver rings and hooks and bronze bases. So the entire courtyard will be 150 feet long and 75 feet wide, with curtain walls 7 1⁄2 feet high, made from finely woven linen. The bases for the posts will be made of bronze. All the articles used in the rituals of the Tabernacle, including all the tent pegs used to support the Tabernacle and the courtyard curtains, must be made of bronze. The people of Israel are to bring pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to keep the lamps burning continually and the lampstand will stand in the Tabernacle, in front of the inner curtain that shields the Ark of the Covenant. Aaron and his sons must keep the lamps burning in the Lord’s presence all night. This is a permanent law for the people of Israel, and it must be observed from generation to generation.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 `And thou hast made the altar of shittim wood, five cubits the length, and five cubits the breadth -- the altar is square -- and three cubits its height.
2 And thou hast made its horns on its four corners, its horns are of the same, and thou hast overlaid it [with] brass.
3 And thou hast made its pots to remove its ashes, and its shovels, and its bowls, and its forks, and its fire-pans, even all its vessels thou dost make of brass.
4 `And thou hast made for it a grate of net-work of brass, and hast made on the net four rings of brass on its four extremities,
5 and hast put it under the compass of the altar beneath, and the net hath been unto the middle of the altar.
6 `And thou hast made staves for the altar, staves of shittim wood, and hast overlaid them [with] brass.
7 And the staves have been brought into the rings, and the staves have been on the two sides of the altar in bearing it.
8 Hollow with boards thou dost make it, as it hath been shewed thee in the mount, so do they make [it].
9 `And thou hast made the court of the tabernacle: for the south side southward, hangings for the court of twined linen, a hundred by the cubit [is] the length for the one side,
10 and its twenty pillars and their twenty sockets [are] of brass, the pegs of the pillars and their fillets [are] of silver;
11 and so for the north side in length, hangings of a hundred [cubits] in length, and its twenty pillars and their twenty sockets [are] of brass, the pegs of the pillars and their fillets [are] of silver.
12 `And [for] the breadth of the court at the west side [are] hangings of fifty cubits, their pillars ten, and their sockets ten.
13 And [for] the breadth of the court at the east side, eastward, [are] fifty cubits.
14 And the hangings at the side [are] fifteen cubits, their pillars three, and their sockets three.
15 And at the second side [are] hangings fifteen [cubits], their pillars three, and their sockets three.
16 `And for the gate of the court a covering of twenty cubits, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined linen, work of an embroiderer; their pillars four, their sockets four.
17 All the pillars of the court round about [are] filleted [with] silver, their pegs [are] silver, and their sockets brass.
18 `The length of the court [is] a hundred by the cubit, and the breadth fifty by fifty, and the height five cubits, of twined linen, and their sockets [are] brass,
19 even all the vessels of the tabernacle, in all its service, and all its pins, and all the pins of the court, [are] brass.
20 `And thou -- thou dost command the sons of Israel, and they bring unto thee pure beaten olive oil for the light, to cause the lamp to go up continually;
21 in the tent of meeting, at the outside of the vail, which [is] over the testimony, doth Aaron -- his sons also -- arrange it from evening till morning before Jehovah -- a statute age-during to their generations, from the sons of Israel.

Re: Bible verse by verse
Exodus 28:1-43 Moses is to call for his brother, Aaron, and his sons, Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. Set them apart from the rest of the people of Israel so they may minister to God being God's priests. The Hebrews are to construct sacred garments for Aaron that are glorious and beautiful. Moses is to Instruct all the skilled tailors whom God has filled with the spirit of wisdom. Have them make garments for Aaron that will distinguish him as a priest set apart for God's service. These are the garments they are to make: a chestpiece, an ephod, a robe, a patterned tunic, a turban, and a sash. They are to make these sacred garments for Aaron, and his sons to wear when they serve God as priests. Provide for the tailors fine linen cloth, gold thread, and blue, purple, and scarlet thread.The tailors must make the ephod of finely woven linen and skillfully embroider it with gold and with blue, purple, and scarlet thread. It will consist of two pieces, front and back, joined at the shoulders with two shoulder-pieces. The decorative sash will be made of the same materials: finely woven linen embroidered with gold and with blue, purple, and scarlet thread. Engravers are to take two onyx stones, and engrave on them the names of the tribes of Israel. Six names will be on each stone, arranged in the order of the births of the original sons of Israel. These names on the two stones are to be engraved in the same way a jeweler engraves seals. Then the stones are to be mounted in settings of gold filigree, and attach the two stones on the shoulder-pieces of the ephod as a reminder that Aaron represents the people of Israel. Aaron is to carry these names on his shoulders as a constant reminder whenever he goes before the Lord. Make the settings of gold filigree, braid two cords of pure gold and attach them to the filigree settings on the shoulders of the ephod. Then, with great skill and patience, make a chestpiece to be worn for seeking a decision from God to match the ephod, and using finely woven linen embroidered with gold and with blue, purple, and scarlet thread. This chestpiece is ti be constructed of a single piece of cloth folded to form a pouch nine inches square. Four rows of gemstones are to be mounted on it. The first row is to contain a red carnelian, a pale-green peridot, and an emerald. The second row will contain a turquoise, a blue lapis lazuli, and a white moonstone. The third row will contain an orange jacinth, an agate, and a purple amethyst. The fourth row will contain a blue-green beryl, an onyx, and a green jasper. All these stones will be set in gold filigree and will represent one of the twelve sons of Israel, and the name of that tribe will be engraved on it like a seal. The chestpiece is to be attached to the ephod by braided cords of pure gold thread. Two gold rings are to be attached to the top corners of the chestpiece. They are to tie the two gold cords to the two rings on the chestpiece, tying the other ends of the cords to the gold settings on the shoulder-pieces of the ephod. They are to make two more gold rings and attach them to the inside edges of the chestpiece next to the ephod, making two more gold rings and attach them to the front of the ephod, below the shoulder-pieces, just above the knot where the decorative sash is fastened to the ephod. They are to fasten the bottom rings of the chestpiece to the rings on the ephod using blue cords. This is to hold the chestpiece securely to the ephod above the decorative sash. Aaron will be carring the names of the tribes of Israel on the sacred chestpiece over his heart when he goes into the Holy Place. This will be a continual reminder that Arron represents the people when he comes before the Lord. They are to insert the Urim and Thummim into the sacred chestpiece so they will be carried over Aaron’s heart when he goes into the Lord’s presence. Aaron will carry over his heart the objects used to determine the Lord’s will for his people whenever he goes in before the Lord. they are to tailor the robe that is worn with the ephod from a single piece of blue cloth, having a hole for Aaron’s head in the middle of it. Reinforce the opening with a woven collar so it will not tear. They are to fashion pomegranate fringe out of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and attach them to the hem of the robe, with gold bells between them. These gold bells and pomegranates will alternate all around the hem. Aaron will wear this robe whenever he ministers before the Lord, and the bells will tinkle as he goes in and out of the Lord’s presence in the Holy Place. If he wears it, he will not die. They are to fabricate a medallion of pure gold, and engrave it like a seal with these words: Holy to the Lord, and attach the medallion with a blue cord to the front of Aaron’s turban, where it must stay. Aaron must wear it on his forehead so he may take on himself any guilt of the people of Israel when they consecrate their sacred offerings. He must wear it on his forehead so the Lord will accept the people. Aaron’s patterned tunic is to be woven from fine linen cloth, and the turban is to be made from this linen as well. They are to design a sash, and decorate it with colorful embroidery. Aaron’s sons are to have tunics, sashes, and special head coverings that are glorious and beautiful, also. Aaron, and his sons are to be clothed in these garments, and then anoint and ordained. They are to be Consecrated so they can serve as God's priests. Linen undergarments are to be made for them, reaching from their hips to their thighs. These must be worn whenever Aaron and his sons enter the Tabernacle or approach the altar in the Holy Place to perform their priestly duties. Then they will not incur guilt and die. This is a permanent law for Aaron and all his descendants after him.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 And thou, bring thou near unto thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from the midst of the sons of Israel, for his being priest to Me, [even] Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, sons of Aaron;
2 and thou hast made holy garments for Aaron thy brother, for honour and for beauty;
3 and thou -- thou dost speak unto all the wise of heart, whom I have filled [with] a spirit of wisdom, and they have made the garments of Aaron to sanctify him for his being priest to Me.
4 `And these [are] the garments which they make: a breastplate, and an ephod, and an upper robe, and an embroidered coat, a mitre, and a girdle; yea, they have made holy garments for Aaron thy brother, and for his sons, for his being priest to Me.
5 `And they take the gold, and the blue, and the purple, and the scarlet, and the linen,
6 and have made the ephod of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined linen, work of a designer;
7 it hath two shoulders joining at its two ends, and it is joined.
8 `And the girdle of his ephod which [is] on him, according to its work, is of the same, of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined linen.
9 `And thou hast taken the two shoham stones, and hast opened on them the names of the sons of Israel;
10 six of their names on the one stone, and the names of the remaining six on the second stone, according to their births;
11 the work of an engraver in stone, openings of a signet, thou dost open the two stones by the names of the sons of Israel; turned round, embroidered [with] gold, thou dost make them.
12 `And thou hast set the two stones on the shoulders of the ephod -- stones of memorial to the sons of Israel -- and Aaron hath borne their names before Jehovah, on his two shoulders, for a memorial.
13 `And thou hast made embroidered things of gold,
14 and two chains of pure gold, wreathed work thou dost make them, work of thick bands, and thou hast put the thick chains on the embroidered things.
15 `And thou hast made a breastplate of judgment, work of a designer; according to the work of the ephod thou dost make it; of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined linen thou dost make it;
16 it is square, doubled, a span its length, and a span its breadth.
17 `And thou hast set in it settings of stone, four rows of stone; a row of sardius, topaz, and carbuncle [is] the first row;
18 and the second row [is] emerald, sapphire, and diamond;
19 and the third row [is] opal, agate, and amethyst;
20 and the fourth row [is] beryl, and onyx, and jasper; embroidered with gold are they in their settings,
21 and the stones are according to the names of the sons of Israel, twelve, according to their names, openings of a signet, each by his name are they for the twelve tribes.
22 `And thou hast made on the breastplate wreathed chains, work of thick bands, of pure gold;
23 and thou hast made on the breastplate two rings of gold, and hast put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate;
24 and thou hast put the two thick bands of gold on the two rings at the ends of the breastplate;
25 and the two ends of the two thick bands thou dost put on the two embroidered things, and thou hast put [them] on the shoulders of the ephod over-against its face.
26 `And thou hast made two rings of gold, and hast set them on the two ends of the breastplate, on its border, which [is] over-against the ephod within;
27 and thou hast made two rings of gold, and hast put them on the two shoulders of the ephod, beneath, over-against its front, over-against its joining, above the girdle of the ephod,
28 and they bind the breastplate by its rings unto the rings of the ephod with a ribbon of blue, to be above the girdle of the ephod, and the breastplate is not loosed from the ephod.
29 `And Aaron hath borne the names of the sons of Israel in the breastplate of judgment, on his heart, in his going in unto the sanctuary, for a memorial before Jehovah continually.
30 `And thou hast put unto the breastplate of judgment the Lights and the Perfections, and they have been on the heart of Aaron, in his going in before Jehovah, and Aaron hath borne the judgment of the sons of Israel on his heart before Jehovah continually.
31 `And thou hast made the upper robe of the ephod completely of blue,
32 and the opening for its head hath been in its midst, a border is to its opening round about, work of a weaver, as the opening of a habergeon there is to it; it is not rent.
33 `And thou hast made on its hem pomegranates of blue, and purple, and scarlet, on its hem round about, and bells of gold in their midst round about;
34 a bell of gold and a pomegranate, a bell of gold and a pomegranate [are] on the hems of the upper robe round about.
35 `And it hath been on Aaron to minister in, and its sound hath been heard in his coming in unto the sanctuary before Jehovah, and in his going out, and he doth not die.
36 `And thou hast made a flower of pure gold, and hast opened on it -- openings of a signet -- `Holy to Jehovah;'
37 and thou hast put it on a blue ribbon, and it hath been on the mitre -- over-against the front of the mitre it is;
38 and it hath been on the forehead of Aaron, and Aaron hath borne the iniquity of the holy things which the sons of Israel do hallow, even all their holy gifts; and it hath been on his forehead continually for a pleasing thing for them before Jehovah.
39 `And thou hast embroidered the coat of linen, and hast made a mitre of linen, and a girdle thou dost make -- work of an embroiderer.
40 `And for the sons of Aaron thou dost make coats, and thou hast made for them girdles, yea, bonnets thou dost make for them, for honour and for beauty;
41 and thou hast clothed Aaron thy brother with them, and his sons with him, and hast anointed them, and hast consecrated their hand, and hast sanctified them, and they have been priests to Me.
42 `And make thou for them linen trousers to cover the naked flesh: they are from the loins even unto the thighs;
43 and they have been on Aaron and on his sons, in their going in unto the tent of meeting, or in their drawing nigh unto the altar to minister in the sanctuary, and they do not bear iniquity nor have they died; a statute age-during to him, and to his seed after him.

Shemot 28:1-43
Orthodox Jewish Bible (OJB)
1 And bring thou near unto thee Aharon thy brother, and his banim with him, from the midst of the Bnei Yisroel, that he may minister unto Me in the kohen’s office, even Aharon, Nadav and Avihu, Eleazar and Itamar, Bnei Aharon.
2 And thou shalt make Bigdei Kodesh for Aharon thy brother for kavod and tiferet.
3 And thou shalt speak unto all that are of chochmei lev, whom I have filled with the Ruach Chochmah, that they may make Bigdei Aharon to set him apart as kodesh, that he may minister unto Me in the kohen’s office.
4 And these are HaBegadim which they shall make: a Choshen, and an Ephod, and a Me’il, and a Kesones of a box-like knitting work, a Mitznefet, and an Avnet; and they shall make Bigdei Kodesh for Aharon thy brother, and his Banim, that he may minister unto Me in the kohen’s office.
5 And they shall take zahav, and turquoise, and purple, and scarlet wool, and linen.
6 And they shall make the Ephod of zahav, of turquoise, and of purple, of scarlet wool, and twisted linen, with ma’aseh choshev (artistic embroidery).
7 It shall have the two ketefot (shoulder straps) thereof joined at the two sides thereof; and so it shall be joined together.
8 And the Cheishev of his Ephod, which is upon it, shall be of the same, according to the work thereof; even of zahav, of turquoise, and purple, and scarlet wool, and twisted linen.
9 And thou shalt take two avnei shoham (onyx stones), and engrave on them the Shemot of the Bnei Yisroel:
10 Shisha of their Shemot on one even (stone), and the other Shemot of the shisha remaining on the other even (stone), according to toldot (in the order in which they were born).
11 With the work of a charash even (engraver in gemstones), like the engravings of a chotam (signet ring), shalt thou engrave the two avanim with the Shemot Bnei Yisroel; thou shalt make them to be set in mishbetzot zahav (filigrees of gold).
12 And thou shalt fasten the two avanim upon the Kitfot HaEphod for avnei zikaron (memorial stones) unto the Bnei Yisroel; and Aharon shall bear their Shemot before Hashem upon his two ketefayim for a zikaron.
13 And thou shalt make mishbetzot zahav (filigrees of gold);
14 And two sharsherot zahav tahor (chains of pure gold) at the edges; of braided artistic work shalt thou make them, and fasten the braided sharsherot (chains) to the mishbetzot (filigrees).
15 And thou shalt make the Choshen Mishpat with artistic work; like the work of the Ephod thou shalt make it; of zahav, of turquoise, and of purple, and of scarlet wool, and of twisted linen, shalt thou make it.
16 Ravu’a (foursquare, square) it shall be folded; a span shall be the length thereof, and a span shall be the width thereof.
17 And thou shalt set in it settings of even (stone), four rows of gemstones: the first row shall be a odem, a pitdah, and barekes: this shall be the first row.
18 And the second row shall be nofech, sapphire, and yahalom.
19 And the third row a leshem, shevo, and achlamah.
20 And the fourth row tarshish, shoham, and yashfeh; they shall be set in zahav in their settings.
21 And the avanim (gemstones) shall be for the Shemot Bnei Yisroel, Shteym Esreh (Twelve), according to their Shemot, like the engravings of a chotam (signet ring); every one with shmo shall they be according to the Shnei Asar Shevet (Twelve Tribes).
22 And thou shalt make for the Choshen at the edges of braided artistic work of zahav tahor (pure gold).
23 And thou shalt make upon the Choshen two rings of zahav, and shalt fasten the two rings on the two ends of the Choshen.
24 And thou shalt fasten the two ropes of zahav on the two rings which are on the ends of the Choshen.
25 And the other two ends of the two ropes thou shalt fasten in the two mishbetzot (filigrees), and attach them to the Ketefot HaEphod (Shoulder Straps of the Ephod) toward its front.
26 And thou shalt make two rings of zahav, and thou shalt put them upon the two ends of the Choshen on the lower border thereof, on the inside toward the Ephod.
27 And two other rings of zahav thou shalt make, and shalt put them on at the bottom of the Kitfot HaEphod toward the front thereof, opposite the seam thereof, above the Cheishev HaEphod (Belt of the Ephod).
28 And they shall bind the Choshen by the rings thereof unto the rings of the Ephod with a turquoise woolen cord, that it may be above the Cheishev HaEphod, and that the Choshen be not loosed from the Ephod.
29 And Aharon shall bear the Shemot Bnei Yisroel in the Choshen HaMishpat upon his lev, when he goeth in unto HaKodesh, for a zikaron (memorial) before Hashem tamid.
30 And thou shalt put in the Choshen HaMishpat the Urim and the Tummim; and they shall be upon the lev Aharon, when he goeth in before Hashem; and Aharon shall nasa (bear [see this word Yeshayah 53:12]) the Mishpat Bnei Yisroel upon his lev before Hashem tamid.
31 And thou shalt make the Me’il HaEphod all of turquoise wool.
32 And there shall be a head opening in the top of it, in the middle thereof; it shall have a border of artistic embroidery around the head opening of it, like the head opening of a coat of mail; that it be not torn.
33 And beneath upon the hem of it thou shalt make pomegranates of turquoise, and of purple, and of scarlet, around the hem thereof; and bells of zahav between them round about:
34 A bell of zahav and a pomegranate, a bell of zahav and a pomegranate, upon the hem of the Me’il round about.
35 And it shall be upon Aharon lesharet (to minister); and his sound shall be heard when he goeth in unto HaKodesh before Hashem, and when he cometh out, that he die not.
36 And thou shalt make a Tzitz zahav tahor (head plate of pure gold), and engrave upon it, like the engravings of a chotam (signet ring), KODESH LAHASHEM.
37 And thou shalt put it on a turquoise cord, that it may be upon the Mitznefet; upon the forefront of the Mitznefet it shall be.
38 And it shall be upon metzach Aharon (forehead of Aharon), that Aharon may nasa (bear [see this word Yeshayah 53:12]) the avon of the kodashim (holy things), which the Bnei Yisroel shall set apart as kodesh in all their mattanot kadoshot (holy gifts); and it shall be always upon his metzach (forehead), that they may be leratzon (accepted, acceptable) before Hashem.
39 And thou shalt embroider the Kesones of fine linen, and thou shalt make the Mitznefet of fine linen, and thou shalt make the Avnet of artistic embroidery.
40 And for Bnei Aharon thou shalt make Kuttanot (Tunics), and thou shalt make for them Avnetim, and Migba’Old Testament shalt thou make for them, for kavod and for tiferet.
41 And thou shalt put them upon Aharon thy brother, and his banim with him; and shalt anoint them, and ordain them, and set them apart as kodesh, that they may minister unto Me in the kohen’s office.
42 And thou shalt make them mikhnesei bahd (linen undergarments) to cover their nakedness; from the loins even unto the thighs they shall reach;
43 And they shall be upon Aharon, and upon his banim, when they come in unto the Ohel Mo’ed, or when they come near unto the Mizbe’ach lesharet (to minister) in HaKodesh; that they incur not avon, and die; it shall be a chukkat olahm unto him and his zera after him.

13 And thou shalt make mishbetzot zahav (filigrees of gold);

Re: Bible verse by verse
Exodus 29:1-46 Hebrews are to take one young bull and two rams that are perfect, make bread without yeast, and bread mixed with oil, and hard bread made without yeast and spread with oil -- using fine grain flour. They are to place them in one basket with the bull and the two rams. Aaron and his sons are to be brought to the door of the meeting tent, and wash them with water, and dress Aaron in the long coat, the clothing over the linen vest, the linen vest, and the breast-piece. they are to place on him the well-made belt of the linen vest, and the covering on his head, with the holy crown on the head covering. Then they are to take the oil for holy use and pour it on Aaron's head to set him apart for God's work. The same is to be dome to Aaron's sons --- dressing them with long coats, putting belts and head coverings on Aaron and his sons. They will be religious leaders by law for all time. Set them apart Aaron for God's work. They are to bring the bull in front of the meeting tent. Aaron and his sons will lay their hands on the head of the bull, killing the bull before the Lord at the door of the meeting tent. They are to take some of the blood of the bull and put it on the horns of the altar with one of their fingers, pouring out all the blood at the base of the altar. They are to take all the fat that covers the inside parts, and the part that is on the liver, and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them, and burn them on the altar. The flesh of the bull, its skin, and its waste you will burn away from the tents. Such is a sin gift. They are to take one of the rams and have Aaron and his sons lay their hands on the head of the ram, killing the ram and taking its blood, putting it around the altar. They are to cut the ram into pieces, washing its organs and its legs. They are to put them with its pieces and its head, and burn the whole ram on the altar for a burnt gift in worship to the Lord. The other ram will be killed like the first, but they are to put some of its blood on the bottom of Aaron’s right ear, on the bottom of his sons’ right ears, on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the big toes of their right feet --- putting the rest of the blood around the altar. They are to take some of the blood from the altar and some of the special oil --- putting some on Aaron and his sons and their clothing. This way will Aaron and his clothing and his sons and their clothing be set apart and made holy. They are to take the fat from the ram, the fat tail, the fat that covers the inside parts, the part that is on the liver, the two kidneys with their fat, and the fat that is on the right thigh. For it is a ram used to set apart those who work for God. They are to take one loaf of bread, and one loaf of bread mixed with oil, and one piece of hard bread from the basket of bread without yeast that is set before the Lord --- putting all these in the hands of Aaron and his sons. They will wave these for a wave gift before the Lord and then burn on the altar for a burnt gift in worship. They are to take the breast of Aaron’s ram used to set him apart and wave it as a wave gift before the Lord. And it will be eaten by them. Then set apart the breast of the wave gift and the thigh that was waved and given from the ram used to set apart those who work for God. One was for Aaron and one for his sons. 28 It will be for Aaron and his sons as their meal forever from the people of Israel. For it is the religious leaders’ portion to be given by the people of Israel from their peace gifts. It is their gift to the Lord. The holy clothing of Aaron will be for his sons after him. They will wear them when the oil for holy use is poured on them and they are set apart for God's work. The son who takes his place as religious leader will wear them seven days as he goes into the meeting tent to serve in the holy place. They are to take the ram used to set apart those who work for God and boil its flesh in a holy place. Aaron and his sons will eat the flesh of the ram, and the bread that is in the basket, at the door of the meeting tent. They will eat those things that were used in worship when they were forgiven of their sin and when they were set apart for My work. But one who is not a religious leader may not eat them, because they are holy. If any of the meat or bread used to set apart those who work for God is left until morning, it must be burned. It must not be eaten, because it is holy. For seven days they will set them apart for God's work. Sacrafice a bull each day for a sin gift, to take away sin. Make the altar clean by taking sin away from it and pour special oil on it to set it apart for God. For seven days they are to give sacrafices upon the altar to take away sin and set it apart for God. Then the altar will be most holy. And whatever touches the altar will be holy. Now this is what they will provide for the altar: Two lambs one year old, given every day --- one lamb in the morning, and the other lamb in the evening. With the first lamb they are to give a jar of fine flour mixed with a half jar of beaten oil, and a half jar of wine to be poured out. They are to present the other lamb in the evening --- presenting it with a grain gift and a gift to pour out as in the morning. All such has a pleasing smell, being a gift by fire to the Lord. For all time to come this burnt gift is to be given at the door of the meeting tent before the Lord. There God will meet with them and speak to them. God will meet there with the people of Israel. It will be set apart by God's shining-greatness, setting apart the meeting tent and the altar, and setting apart Aaron and his sons to work as religious leaders for God. God will live among the people of Israel and will be their God, knowing HE brought them out of the land of Egypt to live among them. God is the Lord their God.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 `And this [is] the thing which thou dost to them, to hallow them, for being priests to Me: Take one bullock, a son of the herd, and two rams, perfect ones,
2 and bread unleavened, and cakes unleavened anointed with oil, of fine wheaten flour thou dost make them,
3 and thou hast put them on one basket, and hast brought them near in the basket, also the bullock and the two rams.
4 `And Aaron and his sons thou dost bring near unto the opening of the tent of meeting, and hast bathed them with water;
5 and thou hast taken the garments, and hast clothed Aaron with the coat, and the upper robe of the ephod, and the ephod, and the breastplate, and hast girded him with the girdle of the ephod,
6 and hast set the mitre on his head, and hast put the holy crown on the mitre,
7 and hast taken the anointing oil, and hast poured [it] on his head, and hast anointed him.
8 `And his sons thou dost bring near, and hast clothed them [with] coats,
9 and hast girded them [with] a girdle (Aaron and his sons), and hast bound on them bonnets; and the priesthood hath been theirs by a statute age-during, and thou hast consecrated the hand of Aaron, and the hand of his sons,
10 and hast brought near the bullock before the tent of meeting, and Aaron hath laid -- his sons also -- their hands on the head of the bullock.
11 `And thou hast slaughtered the bullock before Jehovah, at the opening of the tent of meeting,
12 and hast taken of the blood of the bullock, and hast put [it] on the horns of the altar with thy finger, and all the blood thou dost pour out at the foundation of the altar;
13 and thou hast taken all the fat which is covering the inwards, and the redundance on the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat which [is] on them, and hast made perfume on the altar;
14 and the flesh of the bullock, and his skin, and his dung, thou dost burn with fire at the outside of the camp; it [is] a sin-offering.
15 `And the one ram thou dost take, and Aaron and his sons have laid their hands on the head of the ram,
16 and thou hast slaughtered the ram, and hast taken its blood, and hast sprinkled [it] on the altar round about,
17 and the ram thou dost cut into its pieces, and hast washed its inwards, and its legs, and hast put [them] on its pieces, and on its head;
18 and thou hast made perfume with the whole ram on the altar. It [is] a burnt-offering to Jehovah, a sweet fragrance; a fire-offering it [is] to Jehovah.
19 `And thou hast taken the second ram, and Aaron hath laid -- his sons also -- their hands on the head of the ram,
20 and thou hast slaughtered the ram, and hast taken of its blood, and hast put on the tip of the right ear of Aaron, and on the tip of the right ear of his sons, and on the thumb of their right hand, and on the great toe of their right foot, and hast sprinkled the blood on the altar round about;
21 and thou hast taken of the blood which [is] on the altar, and of the anointing oil, and hast sprinkled on Aaron, and on his garments, and on his sons, and on the garments of his sons with him, and he hath been hallowed, he, and his garments, and his sons, and the garments of his sons with him.
22 `And thou hast taken from the ram the fat, and the fat tail, and the fat which is covering the inwards, and the redundance on the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat which [is] on them, and the right leg, for it [is] a ram of consecration,
23 and one round cake of bread, and one cake of oiled bread, and one thin cake out of the basket of the unleavened things which [is] before Jehovah.
24 `And thou hast set the whole on the hands of Aaron, and on the hands of his sons, and hast waved them -- a wave-offering before Jehovah;
25 and thou hast taken them out of their hand, and hast made perfume on the altar beside the burnt-offering, for sweet fragrance before Jehovah; a fire-offering it [is] to Jehovah.
26 `And thou hast taken the breast from the ram of the consecration which [is] for Aaron, and hast waved it -- a wave-offering before Jehovah, and it hath become thy portion;
27 and thou hast sanctified the breast of the wave-offering, and the leg of the heave-offering, which hath been waved, and which hath been lifted up from the ram of the consecration, of that which [is] for Aaron, and of that which [is] for his sons;
28 and it hath been for Aaron and for his sons, by a statute age-during from the sons of Israel, for it [is] a heave-offering; and it is a heave offering from the sons of Israel, from the sacrifices of their peace-offerings -- their heave-offering to Jehovah.
29 `And the holy garments which are Aaron's, are for his sons after him, to be anointed in them, and to consecrate in them their hand;
30 seven days doth the priest in his stead (of his sons) put them on, when he goeth in unto the tent of meeting, to minister in the sanctuary.
31 `And the ram of the consecration thou dost take, and hast boiled its flesh in the holy place;
32 and Aaron hath eaten -- his sons also -- the flesh of the ram, and the bread which [is] in the basket, at the opening of the tent of meeting;
33 and they have eaten those things by which there is atonement to consecrate their hand, to sanctify them; and a stranger doth not eat -- for they [are] holy;
34 and if there be left of the flesh of the consecration or of the bread till the morning, then thou hast burned that which is left with fire; it is not eaten, for it [is] holy.
35 `And thou hast done thus to Aaron and to his sons, according to all that I have commanded thee; seven days thou dost consecrate their hand;
36 and a bullock, a sin-offering, thou dost prepare daily for the atonements, and thou hast atoned for the altar, in thy making atonement on it, and hast anointed it to sanctify it;
37 seven days thou dost make atonement for the altar, and hast sanctified it, and the altar hath been most holy; all that is coming against the altar is holy.
38 `And this [is] that which thou dost prepare on the altar; two lambs, sons of a year, daily continually;
39 the one lamb thou dost prepare in the morning, and the second lamb thou dost prepare between the evenings;
40 and a tenth [deal] of fine flour, mixed with beaten oil, a fourth part of a hin, and a libation, a fourth part of a hin, of wine, [is] for the one lamb.
41 `And the second lamb thou dost prepare between the evenings; according to the present of the morning, and according to its libation, thou dost prepare for it, for sweet fragrance, a fire-offering, to Jehovah: --
42 a continual burnt-offering for your generations, at the opening of the tent of meeting, before Jehovah, whither I am met with you, to speak unto thee there,
43 and I have met there with the sons of Israel, and it hath been sanctified by My honour.
44 `And I have sanctified the tent of meeting, and the altar, and Aaron and his sons I sanctify for being priests to Me,
45 and I have tabernacled in the midst of the sons of Israel, and have become their God,
46 and they have known that I [am] Jehovah their God, who hath brought them out of the land of Egypt, that I may tabernacle in their midst; I [am] Jehovah their God.

31 `And the ram of the consecration thou dost take, and hast boiled its flesh in the holy place;
32 and Aaron hath eaten -- his sons also -- the flesh of the ram, and the bread which [is] in the basket, at the opening of the tent of meeting;
33 and they have eaten those things by which there is atonement to consecrate their hand, to sanctify them; and a stranger doth not eat -- for they [are] holy;
34 and if there be left of the flesh of the consecration or of the bread till the morning, then thou hast burned that which is left with fire; it is not eaten, for it [is] holy.
35 `And thou hast done thus to Aaron and to his sons, according to all that I have commanded thee; seven days thou dost consecrate their hand;
36 and a bullock, a sin-offering, thou dost prepare daily for the atonements, and thou hast atoned for the altar, in thy making atonement on it, and hast anointed it to sanctify it;
37 seven days thou dost make atonement for the altar, and hast sanctified it, and the altar hath been most holy; all that is coming against the altar is holy.
38 `And this [is] that which thou dost prepare on the altar; two lambs, sons of a year, daily continually;
39 the one lamb thou dost prepare in the morning, and the second lamb thou dost prepare between the evenings;

I do. And during that activity I keep clean my clothes. And my right ear and right hand/foot and any finger of them.
(by the way in islam, one should use their right hand to eat and the left one to wipe the arse. The Bible misses the reference to left here.)
PS> please ask TBMs about barbecue in garment only (the Bible doesn't mention more clothing over that piece).

Re: Bible verse by verse
Exodus 30:1-38 Now the Hebrews are to make another altar of acacia wood for burning incense ---18 inches square and 36 inches high, with horns at the corners carved from the same piece of wood as the altar itself. They are to cover the top, sides, and horns of the altar with pure gold, and run a gold molding around the entire altar. They are to mold two gold rings, and attach them on opposite sides of the altar below the gold molding to hold the carrying poles. These poles are to be made of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. They are to position the incense altar just outside the inner curtain that shields the Ark of the Covenant, in front of the Ark’s cover—the place of atonement—that covers the tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant. God will meet with you there. Every morning when Aaron maintains the lamps, he must burn fragrant incense on the altar. Each evening when he lights the lamps, he must again burn incense in the Lord’s presence. This must be done from generation to generation. They not offer any unholy incense on this altar, or any burnt offerings, grain offerings, or liquid offerings. Once a year Aaron must purify the altar by smearing its horns with blood from the offering made to purify the people from their sin. This will be a regular, annual event from generation to generation, for this is the Lord’s most holy altar. The Lord tells Moses that when Whenever a census of the people of Israel is taken, each man who is counted must pay a ransom for himself to the Lord. Then no plague will strike the people so counted. Each person who is counted must give a small piece of silver as a sacred offering to the Lord. This payment is half a shekel, based on the sanctuary shekel, which equals twenty gerahs. All who have reached their twentieth birthday must give this sacred offering to the Lord. When this offering is given to the Lord to purify their lives. The rich must not give more than the specified amount, and the poor must not give less. Receive this ransom money from the Israelites, and use it for the care of the Tabernacle --- bring the Israelites to the Lord’s attention, and it will purify their lives. Then the Lord says to Moses, to make a bronze washbasin with a bronze stand. Place it between the Tabernacle and the altar, and fill it with water. Aaron and his sons are to wash their hands and feet there. They must wash with water whenever they go into the Tabernacle to appear before the Lord and when they approach the altar to burn up their special gifts to the Lord—or they will die! They must always wash their hands and feet, or they will die. This is a permanent law for Aaron and his descendants, to be observed from generation to generation. Then the Lord tells Moses, to gather choice spices needed as follows: 12 1⁄2 pounds of pure myrrh, 6 1⁄4 pounds of fragrant cinnamon, 6 1⁄4 pounds of fragrant calamus, 24 and 12 1⁄2 pounds of cassia —as measured by the weight of the sanctuary shekel. additionally needed is one gallon of olive oil. They need to blend these ingredients to make a holy anointing oil -- using this sacred oil to anoint the Tabernacle, the Ark of the Covenant, the table and all its utensils, the lampstand and all its accessories, the incense altar, the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, and the washbasin with its stand. They are to consecrate them to make them absolutely holy. After this, whatever touches them will also become holy. They are to anoint Aaron and his sons also, consecrating them to serve me as priests. And say to the people of Israel, that this is holy anointing oil is reserved for GOD from generation to generation. It must never be used on anyone else, and they must never make a copy of it for personal use. It is holy. Treat it as holy. Anyone who makes a blend like it or anoints someone other than a priest will be shunned forever. Then the Lord says to Moses to gather fragrant spices—resin droplets, mollusk shell, and galbanum—and mix these fragrant spices with pure frankincense, weighed out in equal amounts. They are to blend the spices together and sprinkle them with salt to produce a pure and holy incense, and grind some of the mixture into a very fine powder and put it in front of the Ark of the Covenant, where God will meet with the Hebrews in the Tabernacle. They must treat this incense as most holy. Never using this formula to make this incense for personal use. It is reserved for the Lord, and they must treat it as holy. Anyone who makes incense like this for personal use will be shunned forever.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 `And thou hast made an altar [for] making perfume; [of] shittim wood thou dost make it;
2 a cubit its length, and a cubit its breadth, (it is square), and two cubits its height; its horns [are] of the same.
3 `And thou hast overlaid it with pure gold, its top, and its sides round about, and its horns; and thou hast made to it a crown of gold round about;
4 and two rings of gold thou dost make to it under its crown; on its two ribs thou dost make [them], on its two sides, and they have become places for staves, to bear it with them.
5 `And thou hast made the staves of shittim wood, and hast overlaid them with gold;
6 and thou hast put it before the vail, which [is] by the ark of the testimony, before the mercy-seat which [is] over the testimony, whither I am met with thee.
7 `And Aaron hath made perfume on it, perfume of spices, morning by morning; in his making the lamps right he doth perfume it,
8 and in Aaron's causing the lamps to go up between the evenings, he doth perfume it; a continual perfume before Jehovah to your generations.
9 `Ye do not cause strange perfume to go up upon it, and burnt-offering, and present, and libation ye do not pour out on it;
10 and Aaron hath made atonement on its horns, once in a year, by the blood of the sin-offering of atonements; once in a year doth he make atonement for it, to your generations; it [is] most holy to Jehovah.'
11 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
12 `When thou takest up the sum of the sons of Israel for their numbers, then they have given each an atonement [for] his soul to Jehovah in their being numbered, and there is no plague among them in their being numbered.
13 `This they do give, every one passing over unto those numbered, half a shekel, by the shekel of the sanctuary (the shekel [is] twenty gerahs); half a shekel [is] the heave-offering to Jehovah;
14 every one passing over unto those numbered, from a son of twenty years and upwards, doth give the heave-offering of Jehovah;
15 the rich doth not multiply, and the poor doth not diminish from the half-shekel, to give the heave-offering of Jehovah, to make atonement for your souls.
16 `And thou hast taken the atonement-money from the sons of Israel, and hast given it for the service of the tent of meeting; and it hath been to the sons of Israel for a memorial before Jehovah, to make atonement for your souls.'
17 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
18 `And thou hast made a laver of brass (and its base of brass), for washing; and thou hast put it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and hast put water there;
19 and Aaron and his sons have washed at it their hands and their feet,
20 in their going in unto the tent of meeting they wash [with] water, and die not; or in their drawing nigh unto the altar to minister, to perfume a fire-offering to Jehovah,
21 then they have washed their hands and their feet, and they die not, and it hath been to them a statute age-during, to him and to his seed to their generations.'
22 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
23 `And thou, take to thyself principal spices, wild honey five hundred [shekels]; and spice-cinnamon, the half of that, two hundred and fifty; and spice-cane two hundred and fifty;
24 and cassia five hundred, by the shekel of the sanctuary, and olive oil a hin;
25 and thou hast made it a holy anointing oil, a compound mixture, work of a compounder; it is a holy anointing oil.
26 `And thou hast anointed with it the tent of meeting, and the ark of the testimony,
27 and the table and all its vessels, and the candlestick and its vessels, and the altar of perfume,
28 and the altar of burnt-offering and all its vessels, and the laver and its base;
29 and thou hast sanctified them, and they have been most holy; all that is coming against them is holy;
30 and Aaron and his sons thou dost anoint, and hast sanctified them for being priests to Me.
31 `And unto the sons of Israel thou dost speak, saying, A holy anointing oil is this to Me, to your generations;
32 on flesh of man it is not poured, and with its proper proportion ye make none like it; it [is] holy; it is holy to you;
33 a man who compoundeth [any] like it, or who putteth of it on a stranger -- hath even been cut off from his people.'
34 And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Take to thee spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum, spices and pure frankincense; they are part for part;
35 and thou hast made it a perfume, a compound, work of a compounder, salted, pure, holy;
36 and thou hast beaten [some] of it small, and hast put of it before the testimony, in the tent of meeting, whither I am met with thee; most holy it is to you.
37 `As to the perfume which thou makest, with its proper proportion ye do not make to yourselves, holy it is to thee to Jehovah;
38 a man who maketh [any] like it -- to be refreshed by it -- hath even been cut off from his people.'

Re: Bible verse by verse
Gosh Nipper, you're only up to Exodus? It's becoming clear that you will be spending all of 2013 on this project. I think you may have picked the wrong board to dedicate so much time to.
I suspect that you have no converts yet. I also suspect that you will have no more than that. I admire your dedication, but I think it may be misplaced.
Consider spending this amount of time working for a homeless shelter. You could do so much more good.

This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.
