Right.... Cuz it was hapstance that led to splitting the atom, arpanet, transistors, xray machines, yada yada yada.
It is better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener at war.

Some of us, on the other hand, actually prefer a religion that includes some type of correlation with reality.

The man called scientist.

The early punch card computers owe more to the pattern cards used in the looms of the textile industry than any laboratory of even the scientific method.
Primitive approach.

Textile engineers didn't propose to use their cards in computers. Computer scientists did.

Did You ever heard Neumann János (John von Neumann)?
He was a Hungarian-American mathematician and polymath who made major contributions to a vast number of fields, including mathematics (set theory, functional analysis, ergodic theory, geometry, numerical analysis, and many other mathematical fields), physics (quantum mechanics, hydrodynamics, and fluid dynamics), economics (game theory), computer science (linear programming), and statistics. He is generally regarded as one of the greatest mathematicians in modern history.
Von Neumann was a pioneer of the application of operator theory to quantum mechanics, in the development of functional analysis, a principal member of the Manhattan Project and the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton (as one of the few originally appointed), and a key figure in the development of game theory and the concepts of cellular automata, the universal constructor, and the digital computer.
Stored-program architecture
Several developers of ENIAC, recognizing its flaws, came up with a far more flexible and elegant design, which came to be known as the "stored-program architecture" or von Neumann architecture. This design was first formally described by John von Neumann in the paper First Draft of a Report on the EDVAC, distributed in 1945.

subgenius wrote:First, you are wrong trying to equate science with technology

While science and technology are certainly related, many technologies like computers would not be possible without scientific knowledge.

Science is not responsible for what is in front of me...man is.

You are incorrect as usual, but also science is a human endeavor. This means without humans there is no scientific endeavor.

Love is an emotion that has very good evolutionary explanations that are important to the survival of the species, but it is not the only factor.

What? no evidence :surprised: Like I said , humanity does not evolve , technology does ... and that does not mean anybody is getting any smarter either.

We are what we are

????????? Are you saying homo sapiens did not evolve?
