General Conference - was that it...?

Post by _Drifting »

Here are the headlines from General Conference:

1. Mission age lowered by 12 months
2. Reach out to the 'less actives'
3. Divorce, abortion and same sex marriage are all bad
4. If you are faithful God will answer your prayers
5. Stay away from the information about the Church on the internet

That seems to be it. Really?

Where are the examples of the following:

Prophecy is a process in which one or more messages that have been communicated to a prophet[1] are then communicated to others. Such messages typically involve divine inspiration, interpretation, or revelation of conditioned events to come (cf. divine knowledge) as well as testimonies or repeated revelations that the world is divine.[citation needed] The process of prophecy especially involves reciprocal communication of the prophet with the (divine) source of the messages.

Seership is the prediction of the future.

In religion and theology, revelation is the revealing or disclosing of some form of truth or knowledge through supposed communication with a deity or other supernatural entity or entities.

Where are the specific examples that show God is talking to His Latter Day Prophets, Seers and Revelators?

I'm bumping this so to give the TBM's who have now digested the Conference contents a second chance to respond...
