What other walk of life would it be acceptable to show that level of discrimination?
being prime minister of Britain?
being president of the USA?
being Grand Wizard of the KKK?
being an astronaut?
being a world famous scientist?
being the Pope?
being a race car driver?
being the head of a world bank?
being an Eskimo?
and then of course there are the converse views, like how Mandela was consider an inferior black amongst blacks because he lacked the dominant features, or the Wolof society, the caste system in the Chad basin, Nigerian Osu system, Mauritania, the Boran view of the Watta, and so on....
so, comparatively speaking, one may argue that the church is quite liberal, with regards to discrimination, in these modern times.
