Why doesn't the church use the inspired version of the Bible

Most reasonable answer, and not one I fault them for since once you factor in the JST the Mormon standard works have 99% of it.

The real question is why didn't the early church decide to use it when they were in Utah, stopped sending out missionaries and didn't care what people thought.

Well, if Tobin's experience is anything to go by, God will only appear to you when you aren't seeking him and when you are involved in serious wrongdoing...
