Mormon Heresy running rampant

Post by _Mittens »

You are quoting scriptures that you do not understand so how can you teach truth?

Take for example this verse that you put down....

Gal3: - Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

This is referenced to the tree of knowledge of good and evil which brought Men even the whole world under the Curse. Cursed is he that eateth from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
For as long as men keep eating from that tree they remain under the law and cannot eat from the tree of life.

I don't see what the problem is?
Further, how is he "putting it down", and also, what is the "correct truth" in your mind?
It doesn't serve a purpose to make claims without any actual substance or backing. Odd that most of your posts seem that way, stating something is bad about Mormonism and not giving a reason why.

But in answer to your question, while bert's statement doesn't include all aspects of what Gal. 3 is stating, what he said was true also being a very inspired and in-depth exegesis.

by the way, why aren't you posting on a board that has actual Mormons on it? Are you scared to be put in your place by some of our smartest? This board only has a couple of token Mormons posting here, 95% of the rest aren't Mormon.

This thread seems to have no beginning. Could you explain just what it is about and in response to?

The problem with your suggestion is that unless one is receptive to Mormon DOGMA, one is banned from such "noble" Mormon sites by those controlling such sites. Momon sites for the most part love to speak about the "weather." They are not interested in hearing anything they disagree with and they will label converstaions as "proselytizing" or "argumentative," and suddenly one will find him/herself banned. Not for being mean, or nasty, or even using foul language but simply because they must view discussion and disagreement as a THREAT to their traditions.

I have not found this at Christian websites. Most Christians will bend over backward to witness to outsiders and will not ban anyone for simply disagreeing with Bible interpretation or a seeming atheistic stand. I do find this site a breath of fresh air in that I feel some real Mormons are perhaps seeing that Christianity is not about Joseph Smith and exactly why not --- without having the iron curtain drawn shut. True Christians understand that there is a real world outside and that they must accept that non-believers will have a worldview apart from themselves. Christians are not afraid of disagreement. In fact, it has a tendency to make one search the scriptures and read his Bible and pray all the more.

But if what one believes is built on sand -------- the house of cards will fall, and for such, keeping the rain and sea away is their only option.

For proof of this, you may wish to look for postings by LittleNipper and fully understand why he no longer posts there... It had really little to do with LittleNipper.

hmm...none of this makes sense beyond the actual quoted scripture...no sense at all....at all

....especially the nonsense about the tree.
Hanging on the tree is used in the Old Testament as was the tradition for remaining shamed...it was further punishment. See Deuteronomy.
Touching the dead was considered a defile act...bodies would not remain on the tree into the night, they were to be removed lest they defile the land as well.

Mittens, your posts seem to be off their medication.

I have wondered about that too. I would think that mittens and little nipper would want to go to the more pro-Mormon sites and sell their wares there instead of coming here where most people don't support the Mormon church and for the most part are atheists too.

Posting a bunch of scriptures from the Bible means nothing to me.
