By the way, way to not lose the opportunity to hurl a juvenile rhetorical jab in the church's and my direction in a thread about someone's loss of a friend to suicide. At least you followed up by expressing condolences in a subsequent post. You can make fun of me all you want, but it will never suffice to make you appear to be any less of an ignorant and compassionless bigot.

Why? Even science (and common sense) says homosexuality is unnatural.

I'm not sure what R-rated movies these penguins were watching, but it was enough for Captain Scott to bury his findings.

Oh no, the internet stranger thinks poorly of me. Whatever shall I do?

Think about how much my opinion of you as an idiot influences you, and maybe you'll get an idea of how much I care what you think of me. Can you do that?

This isn't news to me. I've already pointed out that your cognitive dissonance is furiously guarding the inroads to your conscience. Nothing that conflicts with your bigoted worldview is going to break through.

Now you're throwing around "cognitive dissonance?"

That's good man. Got any more?

Yes. I guess you haven't been reading my posts addressed to you.

You think only religionists are susceptible to cognitive dissonance?

Mr. Mak,

You're off on this one. It's precisely because of mutations, things that weren't part of the original aim or plan of an organism that you have a heart, are a human, have the eyeball you have, or can think in the manner you think. You are just as unnatural to whatever it was we mutated from as the thing that will eventually mutate from us.

In other words, mutations are just as normal and natural as supposedly non-mutated things (if there exists such a thing in our natural world). I'd venture to say that everything is a mutation because there are no perfect biological carbon copies in complex lifeforms thanks to radiation.

I believe you owe Some Schmo an apology.

No, I'm sure everyone is susceptible. I was kind of hoping you'd expand on this brilliant insight about me. I'm all a quiver with excitement.

I'm well aware of the evolutionary background of genes, and I already pointed out that pretty much everything is a mutation. I'm talking about genetic design within the human race, though. Whatever got us here is one thing, but now that we're homo sapiens we have a certain genetic program that we all, in large part, stick to. Certain things aren't inherent to that program, but crop up here and there without entrenching themselves. So many things are still the result of mutation within that segment of evolutionary history, but that's the context of my comments about intention.

Yes, I'm aware of this.

I disagree.

At the same time, I believe you still owe me an apology for pedantically wasting so much of my time trying to insist that the pronoun "they" cannot legitimately be used with a singular referent (here). You got steamrolled in that discussion, but you certainly didn't care to offer anything in the way of apologies or concessions. Maybe you need to take your own advice.

I'm sure you would like to start down another enormous tangent, but I'm not interested in facilitating more of your emotion jacking off.
