An often-said assertion of Mormons, and other non-Trinitarians, but I would like to see the documentation that shows this. Also, there is not "too", there just is, "is".Instead of harmonizing the two ideas, the Trinity simply claims both mutually exclusive ideas to be correct and declares the rationale to be a mystery.
All the Best!

God has revealed himself as One. God has also revealed himself as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Mormons attempt to divide God, into Gods, calling this polytheistic belief "one God". Silliness, if you ask me.
Most theologians would tell you the Creeds were an outgrowth of the councils. This is the informed view. The popular view is that the Trinity was prefigured in the Bible and the creeds are just finishing touches.
We now know that in oldest formulation, YHWH was originally son of the Most High, not the Most High himself, based on Deuteronomy 32:8-9. Two distinct gods. So the problem of Nicaea, to try to fit the Father/Son/Holy Ghost into monotheism, is a problem that never should have existed.

So Nelson must believe in Polytheism ? and nowhere in the Bible or Book of Mormon does it teach Jehovah was a son of God. The Book of Mormon even teaches
Mosiah 15
3 The Father, because he was conceived by the power of God; and the Son, because of the flesh; thus becoming the Father and Son—
