I do not have to prove your scenario wrong, but for yourself...you would need to prove it right.
Which can be done simply by ascribing an internal feeling to a "yep. you're right" confirmation from God, right?
That said, with the Book of Mormon, we are not dealing with a civilization with no written record. What we are dealing with is a written record with no civilization. (Runtu, Feb 2015)
Subgenius, unless you're actually a Droopy sock puppet, I wasn't talking to you.
Regardless, you're attempting to muddy the waters by asking irrelevant questions.
For the sake of my questions in the OP, whether spirit pregnancy occurs in a womb, entails a gestation period, or whatever is completely irrelevant. Whether Spirit Father and Spirit Mother conceive a Spirit Child by having Celestial Sex, or by holding hands, or by touching their noses together "eskimo style", is completely irrelevant.
The questions are: Are the spirit offspring of God and his wife/wives infinite in number, or finite? Are the wives of God infinite in number, or finite?
ps: I find it fascinating to consider Subby's insinuation that God's spirit offspring might not be discrete in nature, but rather continuous. Sort of like the word "cheese". Or, even, like the Borg, partaking of some common hive mind even as the individual still has a particular body.
Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen

You can't even explain your scenario, much less start to prove it, to yourself or otherwise. Me, I'll be fine playing golf in the telestial, if you actually turn out to be right. It sounds a lot more interesting than spending an eternity pulling the spirit babies lever.
Serious question Sub.
How are spirits produced-created-formed? Can you even give any sort of explanation that doesn't involve the concepts Seth is asking about? (You know eternal-infinite-finite and so on.)

Even better, explain (using Mormon doctrines and beliefs) specifically the method that was used by God to impregnate the virgin Mary with the foetal Jesus...
Or, explain, specifically how Eve was produced?
Did God have a back up plan for producing humanity in the event that Adam and Eve's kids all turned out to be male?
If the number of spirits is infinite, and Mormonism teaches that we all need to come to Earth to get a body, how is that going to be possible when Mormonism also teaches that this Earth period of Gods grand plan of happiness is finite?

Mormonism teaches that a third of the host of heaven went with Satan, with the remaining two thirds choosing the "come to earth" plan. I posit that means Mormons believe the number is finite as you can't divide an infinite number into thirds.

I am not so sure. Tarski would know. It is possible to divide sets of infinite numbers. For example you could take the set of all whole numbers vs a set of every third whole numbers. Both sets would be infinite, but by definition the second set would be 1/3 of the first set.
I am out of my league here. I think this is possible only in mathematical terms and not possible in a real life application. The problem is, I am not sure there are example in real life where there is an infinite number of a particular object.

By definition, both have the samecardinality (aleph-null - ℵ0), they are countable sets.
Aleph-null, the smallest infinite cardinal number.

not true...if one considers a continuous, and infinite line of people...where they diverge in a sequence of one and two...one person steps to the left...2 persons step to the right...
wait, never mind...i just realized you don't know what the host of heaven is.

God CREATED and CREATES. God does not PROCREATE. God is bound only by His perfect imagination, and not to a nature designed by ANOTHER & GREATER being. Who would God marry who He himself didn't create? The Mormon idea of birthing sprit beings isn't biblical or even righteous. It lessens the view of God's abilities to the level of a created being......
