Yeah, not surprising. She was looking for a cause to put her back in the limelight or at least make her somewhat relevant again, and along comes Rosebud. In Rosebud there is the opportunity to score points against other lefty influencers and appear to be a hero in the fight against sexism.

In response to a May 6th Rosebud Facebook post about something something JD libeling her and she’ll for sure drop some docs Kate Kelly drops this ‘go get ‘em’ post:

So it appears Kate Kelly has thrown in with Rosebud, 100%.

For the record, this appears to be what KK says whenever she defames others.

Which she does a lot.

On one occasion roughly eight years ago she threatened to sue a blog owner for a blog I wrote pointing out a seeming discrepancy in her excommunication story.

This was the same phrase that lept from her lips.

Yes, it’s all about what you can convince a jury to believe is the truth. But there are other privacy tours that to which truth is not a defense, including invasion of privacy and false light.

As an aside, in most jurisdictions, truth is not a defense in the legal sense. It’s part of the plaintiff’s burden of proof.

Self-destructive people will continue to be self-destructive, no matter how much it annoys other people when they, yet again, double-down on a bad decision. Maybe they like that even more? A truly self-destructive person relishes the loss as much as they do the victory -- the (delusional) knowing that the enemy bears the burden of forcing the victim to 'do this to themselves' again. It's a win-win situation.

This issue hasn't baited me much because in my own little world of the way things are supposed to work, the protagonist is so effectively self-destructive that there is literally nothing to lose. To lose is to win. Our protagonist hopes for personal validation but suspects the cross, and the cross has already been embraced. There is a very odd kind of self-awareness at work here in order to make that work out. I guess for me, it's the lack of self-awareness that moves the needle for me to be annoyed by an Internet persona. That's not a moral plus for me. For instance, DCP and midge are supremely annoying because their lacking in self-awareness is epic. Kiwi57 on the other hand, has barely moved the needle to annoy me because he knows who he is and what he's doing. Shouldn't I be bothered more by somebody who knows he's being a jerk and consciously chooses to do so, than by people who think they are God's gift to humanity but who in reality, are epic jerks? Moral defect in me; is what it is I guess.

Weirdly, I could probably be friends with either Kiwi57 or Rosebud (who are different in virtually every way), at least in a loose, fair-weather friend sense, while I wouldn't last 30 seconds around the Midge, nor would I get along well with John D, although I would get along with him far better than I would the Midge.

Of course, I get that others drawn to the situation are drawn to it for a variety of reasons. There are some broad societal issues that are commented on by this issue also.

Apparently so. I would have thought Rosebud may have gotten some closure. Much more of her story came out, it's clear there was more impropriety on the parts of all involved than was before understood, some opinions may have changed even though probably no action can be taken at this late date, so why not take that as a win, and move on?

But no. The anonymous "dearjohndehlin" site, where the author insists they are not Rosebud , posted this today:

The proximate cause is clear enough: Rosebud (his former extramarital romantic partner and Open Stories Foundation employee who recently published her podcast account of his misdeeds) has indicated that she has acquired a website and is going to be making a fairly complete set of documents from her extramarital relationship/employment with John Dehlin and Open Stories Foundation available for all to see.
