How is this God's liability?

Post by _subgenius »

I am interested in how Bazooka and Company will spin the following to somehow absolve mankind and rest the blame solely on God, or at least Church Presidency.

"But on Sunday, a man was arrested at an LDS Church meetinghouse after a fight broke out over saved seats in the chapel."

That said, with the Book of Mormon, we are not dealing with a civilization with no written record. What we are dealing with is a written record with no civilization. (Runtu, Feb 2015)

This would have been a better OP for this subject...

YARNELL, Ariz. — The fire that swept through Yarnell, Ariz., on Sunday claimed the life of Andrew Ashcraft of Prescott, Ariz., a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and one of 19 firefighters who died fighting the blaze.

Why, given the divine guidance of the Holy Ghost, the power of the Priesthood and the safety of temple garments, do Mormon's die unexpectedly at about the same rate as humans without all those protective benefits?

(My sympathies to all the families of all the 19 brave firefighters who lost their lives in this tragedy whilst they were attempting to do their job of saving others and their property)

Sub,
Can you give a specific example of how God is liable for anything, good or bad?
"Any over-ritualized religion since the dawn of time can make its priests say yes, we know, it is rotten, and hard luck, but just do as we say, keep at the ritual, stick it out, give us your money and you'll end up with the angels in heaven for evermore."

Suppose I was witnessing a person being run over by a car. As it turns out I could have snapped my fingers, with no risk at all to myself, and stopped the event from happening. But I didn't do so. I watched the person run over and cry out in agony, his eyes fixed on mine as his life was crushed away. Later when asked why I just stood there, I said I wanted to preserve the free will of the driver as his free will was a greater good than the desire of the person not to be run over.

Was my nonaction morally wrong?

This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.
