I think I've changed my position on TM and GZ.

After going toe-to-toe with the good folks here, I thought a good bit about this incident and trial last night and this morning (I've been doing some traveling).

The bottom line is a kid was deemed suspicious because he was Black.

That's it.

I refuse to believe GZ would've profiled a White/Asian/Hispanic kid the way he did TM.

Do I still think TM was a turd monster? Yes I do.

Do I still think GZ had a right to follow TM? Sure.

It doesn't matter. The child was doing nothing wrong. Zero.

He was followed because he was Black.

That's wrong. We all know it. This incident shouldn't have happened. It's that simple.

That's too bad Doc..... Watch this video and some of the other information Zimmerman released which show the context of the situation, that Trayvon was suspicious to Zimmerman because of his behavior and past events with the particular house and neighborhood, nothing at all to with race.

It was also raining and dark out, and in the audio to police Zimmerman say's "he looks black" to the question of the race of the individual. He didn't say "he's black".... He indicated what the guy "seemed" to be, meaning he wasn't 100% sure.

Zimmerman was clearly identifying BEHAVIOR that was suspicious.

What happened to you recognizing that there was no indication at all that Trayvon was racist, from his history, known associates, the trial, etc.?

Identifying punks as punks has nothing to do with racism. I thought you knew that?
Zimmerman most certainly WOULD have followed the guy had he been everything other than black. Because he was observing suspicious behavior, looking at houses, walking around, looking like on drugs or something, etc.

I don't think there was anything in the 911 call to indicate TM was profiled for being black. GZ said there was a kid wandering around that looked like he was on drugs. The only time GZ mentioned race was when the dispatcher asked him if the guy was white, black, or hispanic. GZ might have profiled based on race, but we would have to read his mind to know for sure.

I was speaking of the history of the home Zimmerman initially saw him in front of looking all around it, the history of it and the area.
