Craig,

i'm so sorry for your loss. the time we have together is never enough, but i'm glad you at least got to see your mother at the end.

thank you for sharing this story. i think that your reaction was very natural, and that with time you'll be able to understand what it all means.

And condolences.

Don't think so...but had to be a naturally caused answer...

It could have easily been a supernatural cause.

Your own desire for another "explanation" seems to contradict the already admitted, and realized, truth of the moment.

So sorry for your loss Craig.

I think time will give you your best way to deal with this.

You are discovering the spirit..... It is a key component of human nature along with body and mind, and it is ultimately the most important.
Because the more you access it, the more you will discover the "truths" you think you know through intellect, is missing a very great deal. You begin to see more, to feel more, to love more.

The spirit is like the glue between connections of the brain. If you don't make the glue strong, those connections are weak or non-existing.
I still remember the moment when both intellectually and spiritually I KNEW the church was literally true. I literally felt as if new brain connections were being made, that allowed me to see much further than before, not simply spiritually, but intellectually also.

This is the key..... When we make ourselves "enemy's" of the Light, the light withdraws and we only see darkness. But if we instead put away our judgments of the things and people of righteousness and good in this world, and if we are ready and keep learning, THEN is our mind able to learn and see more, and feel more.

God IS real.... and the Church IS true.... What we gain out of life has always been up to us. God gives us signs along the way, but if we don't head them, we are lost and do not progress. Choose you this day.... Good luck, and take care, prayers with you and your mother.

There's your answer.

Hope you grieve peacefully.

What are the unique identifiers of 'the spirit'?

exactly how does "coincidence" answer the OP question?

It is as if you just walked into the day from a deep dark cave...

1 Recognize it may come as an idea, thought or feeling.

2 Realize it will harmonize with the gospel, common sense.

3 Remember it may leave if you don't act upon it.

4 Expect it to be followed by feelings of peace and joy.

Why let a perfectly explainable experience go to waste? Capitalize the moment for Jesus. Invent an unevidenced supernatural explanation! Confirmation bias at its finest.

Sub and faqs, never ones to let a random event pass by without subverting it to the supernatural.
It is better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener at war.

Some of us, on the other hand, actually prefer a religion that includes some type of correlation with reality.

If you're willing, I would be interested in hearing more about this moment when you knew the church was literally true.

Can you elaborate on this?

Thanks and peace,
