As for the song, I'm glad it came to you as a gift. There could be as many answers to "why" and "from where" as we have posters here, but the important thing I see is that it kept you from feeling alone and abandoned. (Not saying you felt abandoned, but perhaps remembering how I felt when my mother died... forgive me if I'm making wrong assumptions!)

1st off I'm sorry for your loss. People have to die in order to eventually come back and live another life in brand new bodies. Your mother will be back.

With regards to how to process the experience since the song was on your Iphone it wouldn't be classified as a miracle. That leaves it as either just a coincidence, or that there is an invisible power guiding our lives. I personally would go with the 2nd option because I've experienced fate to often for me to assume coincidence.

I still remember the moment when both intellectually and spiritually I KNEW the church was literally true. I literally felt as if new brain connections were being made, that allowed me to see much further than before, not simply spiritually, but intellectually also.

If you're willing, I would be interested in hearing more about this moment when you knew the church was literally true.

Can you elaborate on this?

Just thinking of you in this hard time.

Maybe God does not have to be as big as the only true church, or to all you're faithful mother embraced and endured, with love, to the end. Or to any expectations or possible feelings of guilt or perceived disappointment.

Maybe, just maybe God is "small enough" to have been in that song, with a message to be still, be calm, and know that all is well.

When I was 40, I began to bury our relatives.
Grandparents, parents, others.

This is the way of life - for believers, this is the way of god (...any of...).

They are living until we remember them (or their deeds).
The only thing I hope there will be some descendents who didn't ever met me - and remember.
