It is his lack of understanding of conventional Christianity and his contorted understanding of scripture which, whether you believe in its divine origin or not supposedly forms the basis of discussion between that Christianity and Mormonism, that makes discussion difficult. Throw in his apparent rejection of normal Mormonism and a desire to obfuscate and twist on virtually every issue and you have the makings of difficult discussion. Likely you will get a perfect example in his response to this.

Actually, you didn't say anything worth responding to. When you wish to get around to addressing what I said previously, please let me know.

Albion wrote:Well for starters, I did not say that the gift of prophesy was no longer around...only the need for prophets in the way Mormons claim since believers have the Holy Spirit to discern and a Savior who is their advocate in the presence of the Father. How does a so-called prophet Trump that? All Old Testament covenants are fulfilled in Christ and the New Covenant.

I should add that elements of the Abrahamic and Davidic covenants are ongoing. The process of gathering believers into the adopted family of Abraham, for instance continues.

I see, so it is back to the ole duck and run for cover bit. Well, when you want to challenge that mind of yours even a tiny bit and put your ideas up to the test, please come back and do try to respond meaningfully to criticisms. When you don't even try, you make this all too easy to demonstrate how often thoughtless and rather useless your views seem to be.

I have responded to all your genuine points, Tobin, as is clear to any observer of the exchange. If your presumed victory makes you feel better about yourself then so be it...I have no control over your attitudes.

No wonder you believe the distorted things you do about the Bible. What you just stated isn't even close to the reality of the situation. I genuinely asked you a number of questions and answered you point for point and you have utterly failed to respond to a single thing I've said or asked.

Okay Albion, feel free to tell me " l told you so"
That said, with the Book of Mormon, we are not dealing with a civilization with no written record. What we are dealing with is a written record with no civilization. (Runtu, Feb 2015)

Well, I think I nailed it accurately. He tends to jump around like a box of frogs, changing the subject, introducing tangents, and then projects his own discussion shortcomings on others. It's like trying to gather smoke in a bucket.

I asked you some rather pointed questions and answered you point for point. Your inaccurate dispersions about the facts of the matter doesn't do you any credit.
