I also checked the title page of my Chinese Bible, and it doesn't identify Yahweh as the author, either. And just to make sure I had my wife check the title page of her Japanese Bible, and came up with the same result.

Sorry, none of them were written by Yahweh.

The title pages of my Norwegian, Danish and Spanish Bibles don't Identify Yahweh as the author either!
The original text was written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek depending on who God spoke to concerning His story surrounding the coming Savior. And that is really what the entire Bible is about The why, where, how, and future events surrounding Christ.

But which Bible is THE Bible?

The Bible (from Koine Greek τὰ βιβλία, tà biblía, "the books") is a canonical collection of texts considered sacred in Judaism as well as in Christianity. The term Bible is shared between the two religions, although the contents of each of their collections of canonical texts is not the same. Different religious groups include different books within their canons, in different orders, and sometimes divide or combine books, or incorporate additional material into canonical books.
The Hebrew Bible, or Tanakh, contains twenty-four books divided into three parts: the five books of the Torah ("teaching" or "law"), the Nevi'im ("prophets"), and the Ketuvim ("writings").
Christian Bibles range from the sixty-six books of the Protestant canon to the eighty-one books of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church canon. The first part of Christian Bibles is the Old Testament, which contains, at minimum, the twenty-four books of the Hebrew Bible divided into thirty-nine books and ordered differently than the Hebrew Bible. The Catholic Church and Eastern Christian churches also hold certain deuterocanonical books and passages to be part of the Old Testament canon. The second part is the New Testament, containing twenty-seven books: the four Canonical gospels, Acts of the Apostles, twenty-one Epistles or letters, and the Book of Revelation.

That said, with the Book of Mormon, we are not dealing with a civilization with no written record. What we are dealing with is a written record with no civilization. (Runtu, Feb 2015)

Well now you're changing your story.

First you tell me it was Yahweh who wrote the Bible.

But now you're saying it was really written by a bunch of guys nobody's ever heard of.

So which is it?

Right, that would be this guy...

LittleNipper wrote:God wrote the Bible from man's perspective. Man sees the sun rise and the sun set. This is true as one views the sun and moon from the surface of planet earth. If the men were fighting the war in outer space, God would have worded it differently. Why should God try to confuse man anymore than he already is? The fact is that God somehow made that day longer. How He did it I do not know.

This sounds much more reasonable than the quoted wed site.I confess to be relieved a bit that you are willing to reject its extremist view.

God wrote the Bible using the talents He provided to a select group of individuals. In this way God edited His Word and selected exactly what He wanted recorded, when He wanted it recorded, where He wanted it recorder, how it was to be recorded and the way He wanted it recorded.

I don't think you can show us anything even in the Bible itself that claims that, and even if you could, it would only be a case of circular reasoning that proves nothing whatsoever. It is nothing but a flat, unsupported assertion on your part that has no demonstrably valid basis.
No precept or claim is more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

Nipper, you never answered my question: Why do Xians find it necessary to Lie for the Lord?

Isn't Lying for the Lord a sin?

You demonstrate a lack of knowledge of the Bible; however, God has still placed in your heart the sense of sin. Without God there can no acknowledge of sin...
2 Peter Chapter 1

2. Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

John Chapter 1

1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Romans Chapter 10

17. So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

2 Peter Chapter 1

20. Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

21. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake [as they were] moved by the Holy Ghost.

2 Corinthians Chapter 4

3. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

4. In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

5. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

6. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to [give] the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

James Chapter 1

5. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all [men] liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

6. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

7. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

8. A double minded man [is] unstable in all his ways.

1 Corinthians Chapter 4

14. I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn [you].

You did it again--you totally ignored my question! Why does this question bother you so much?

Again: Why do Xians find it necessary to Lie for the Lord?

Isn't Lying for the Lord a sin?

From Nipper's link, "Why I Believe the Bible/Proof that the Creator God Wrote the Bible and Established Bible Christianity as the Only True Religion..."

Sorry Nipper, nothing in this article addresses the phenomenon of pious fraud among Xians.

But what it says about Christmas is highly entertaining...
Christmas is Spiritual Adultery/Taking an evergreen tree, putting it in your house, decorating it with lights, sitting in the dark, and adoring it to Christmas carols is spiritual adultery. You profess to love Jesus, but you do so with the mementos and techniques of other lovers – the world and pagan religion. You are not content with Christ's pure gospel – for it has no Mass of Christ. You have added the world's seductions to keep you happy in your marriage to Christ. He is highly offended at your whorish ways.

Nipper, are you a "spiritual adulterer"?

Is Jesus offended at your "whorish ways"?

Do you even bother to read any of the crap you cut-and-paste here?

They are not supposed to. God doesn't need liars to "protect" Him. I do not lie for God. I may make mistakes or have a Biblical misunderstanding of some portion of Scripture, but I would not knowingly tell a lie to someone to spread the Gospel message. LIES ARE A SIN. HOMOSEXUALITY IS A SIN. GOSSIP IS A SIN. MAKING FUN OF PEOPLE IS A SIN. And Christmas is not about Christmas trees, presents, cards, feasting, and Santa. It is about God coming into this world as an infant to live as a man and eventually die as the ONLY acceptable Sacrifice for the remission of sin. AND to rise so that man might have eternal LIFE. The reason for the website was to demonstrate to you that the Bible does say that God is the author of Bible Scripture. YOU are mistaken when you say the Bible does not present this. Go back and read the verses. LIES AGAINST GOD's WORD IS A SIN.
