Just Me, did you learn anything from the 1940 census?

Yet, if you were familiar with the story - Manti was not the offender
but merely the victim..

so, your theory about "doing that which has been done in other venues by his church" seems a little...how should we say....inadequate?...or just simply without any proof, evidence, or common sense?

Wait...Manti's a Mormon?

Palerobber, I did, but I will not post it here at this time. I don't like it when people steal research and call it their own.

just me,

I hope you will at some point. I'm curious as to exactly what happened to Patton. Did you get a copy of his service file?

Well, I took a step back when Steve Benson indicated he would be ordering the service file and doing a paper on the story nearly 2 and a half years ago.

I would like to do a write up on Arthur Patton one of these days. I still have a file of information on him at my desk, including an order form for his service record. I have continued doing research on him here and there, I just don't plan on sharing it until I have an actual paper to share. I should probably give myself a deadline...Now I wish I had ordered the service file over the summer when I was considering it.

I still don't have a clear answer from Steve as to whether he actually has the file. He listed the documents he has, but didn't say whether he obtained the file.

I hope you write up the paper.

Pretty sure he only has what can be found online.

I thought the monthly ship records were not available on line, but I see know they are on ancestry.com. So it looks like I might have been mistaken in thinking he had sources not available online. I've asked him in the other thread, so he can clarify if he chooses.

This has really turned into an interesting mystery. I hope Just Me publishes her findings!

I thought about doing FOIA requests through the Navy & SSAN, but decided against it when Mr. Benson acted like a poop.

This will be interesting, I look forward to reading it.
I wonder if he has any living relatives?
