Why didn't the Apostle see this coming?
That said, with the Book of Mormon, we are not dealing with a civilization with no written record. What we are dealing with is a written record with no civilization. (Runtu, Feb 2015)

"Now Elder Rain Price of American Fork, Utah, will spend the final year of his mission elsewhere.
"We've been concerned but not overly frantic about it," his father, Dale, told KSL. "We've always had complete confidence in the leaders on the ground there, and we knew they were monitoring it much closer than we could. It doesn't come as a huge surprise, and it does verify the church is on top of it."
Dale Price, who became internationally famous for wearing a crazy costume while waving goodbye as his son got on the school bus each morning, also said his son and his companion and other missionaries were closely following the precautions outlined by the mission president, President Roger Kirkham.
Price said he thinks his son will be sad to leave Liberia.
"He'd been there 10 months, so he was just getting really comfortable with it and loved the people, loved being there, so it's going to be an interesting change and a new adventure to find out where he's going to go," he said."
Well, thanks to Ebola, perhaps Elder Price will finally make it to his favorite place...ORLANDO!!

Red flags look normal when you're wearing rose colored glasses.

Each mission call is issued by an Apostle.
I didn't know the apostles claimed to have unmitigated and unilateral access to the future.

Then what do they have access to when determining mission calls?

Information about the individuals, the missions, the broader missionary campaign, and whatever inspiration God sees fit to give them. As I said in the other thread, you're making naïve assumptions based on nothing whatsoever and then demanding other people prove you wrong to your own satisfaction.

I'm asking why, under God's inspiration, young men and women were sent by an Apostle to a country that God knew was going to become an area of severe health danger?

Why? Bazooka is making the same assumptions the Church leaders have taught us to make. The 15 are not just prophets but seers, and a seer is even greater than a prophet and likely comes close to having "unilateral access to the future".
So you tell us, Mak, as a rough percentage, how much more reliable are the church leaders and sending missionaries to the right place than an average CEO is about making organizational decisions? Are they a thousand percent better, given that these 15 men are seers have a gift where "a gift which is greater can no man have?" Are they twenty percent better? Five percent -- is five percent what seership is worth?

If these Apostles, The Lord's Servants - the Prophets didn't see Adolf Hitler as evil who can you expect them go know a damn thing about the missionaries and threats to their well being?
The bigger question is why they don't have the faith in Christ and his protection to stay and help those who can really use it now?

“If paying tithing means that you can’t pay for water or electricity, pay tithing. If paying tithing means that you can’t pay your rent, pay tithing. Even if paying tithing means that you don’t have enough money to feed your family, pay tithing." Ensign/2012/12

Now you're co-opting the apologist's paint brush and placing it Bazooka's hand
