If for ever doesn't mean for ever we can't trust a single word in The Bible THAT CANNOT BE CHANGED.

And Christ meant forever when He fulfilled the ordinances totally and eternally. So, you can trust every word of the Bible.

So, sometimes for ever means for ever and sometimes it doesn't.

Erotic, the Bible IS fallible. Nipper just showed us that when the Lord told the Israelites to observe the Passover for ever he was lying.

I'm waiting for Nipper to tell us it's not a sin when Yahweh lies. Just like how it's not a sin when Yahweh murders billions of earthlings with a giant flood.

You are judging the Almighty Judge. It is His creation, not ours. He will do as He pleases, and there is nothing we can do about it. It was not anyone's choice to have been born. We are here because of someone else's desires. Now we have to make the best of it.

No--I'm contrasting modern social mores with the savage and violent mythology associated with certain East Asian superstitions.

It would be really nice if you could offer some compelling proof to back this up.

The Erotic Apologist:

Try reading the last verse in Revelation chapter 4. It explicitly states that creation was for the pleasure of The Lord God Almighty. There is nothing we can do about it, except to obey the commands He has given us, or face the consequences. We are all in the same 'boat'.
