I loved this so much I bought one for my oldest at a garage sale when he was little.

I still have it in a closet somewhere.

Oh wow! I haven't thought about my old Daisy Winchester in years. I wonder if it's still at my parents, packed away in a box somewhere?

Many a sparrow met its demise whilst trying to feast on the raspberries of my grandma's garden. I almost shot a Robin once… one of the few times I ever saw my grandmother visibly upset. Learned an important lesson that day about insectivores, and omnivores (and their respective roles on a farm).

They must've done a crap job at banning them. I bought a few of these (although they fired larger discs) at the grocery store a few months ago for my nephews to play with.

Buggers had some crazy momentum to them too -- one of them zinged my ear at close range and left a small red mark. Took all that I had not to introduce my nephew to some new colorful language.

Yes, the new "large NERF Disk" guns are "legal".... but they suck donkey.
The original was the best.

There might also be "large" plastic versions, but I don't think I've ever seen that (apparently you have?).
The "size" might be legal.

Still not great like the original.

These were a generic grocery store brand, and fired hard plastic discs (the discs almost looked like an old 45 record insert). Those foam ones you're referring to do suck though... they hardly even shoot straight.

My brother had this. I can still smell the heated plastic.

My favorite was the Vegan Hitler action figure.

The G.I. Joe Mobile Command Center.

This bad boy is still alive and kicking it in the toy room at my parents. Although now it tends to house Poly Pockets, and Ponies.

An early fave...he was vaguely remote control. More fun though when he got dismantled a bit and used in various space Barbie scenarios...
