Re: COVID is getting worse
There is no damned way ajax is a doctor, or even tangentially associated with the medical profession. You couldn't even make me believe he's a hospital janitor. Everything he says makes more sense if you assume he's lying about his profession. Actually, everything he says makes more sense if you assume he's lying about everything.
I mean, he just makes up idiotic, obviously wrong stats, and then whines how bad things are because of his fake stats.
Sorry, RI, but I have to say: ajax deserves his misery. He works harder for that than anything else. In fact, it's the only evidence of hard work we've ever seen from him. Frankly, he must like being miserable in a masochistic way. I don't think we should begrudge him his misery. He's earned it.
But we should all stop the "ajax as doctor" crap. All ajax amounts to is an eager cult member. He loves the buzz from that poisoned Kool-Aid.

Just in case anyone is confused about what exponential increase means:

Keep in mind that there's a lag between infection and hospitalization and between hospitalization and death.

It is intentionally dumbed down precisely because of people like you.
Because when you're presented actual scientific experiments proving the point, you just ignore it because it isn't from Brietbart.

Re: COVID is getting worse
I've read many accounts of bona fide doctors and nurses whose beliefs about COVID-19 are similar to Ajax's. I'm happy to take him at face value when it comes to his profession, and I don't see his opinions on COVID as a good reason to do otherwise. The worst cranks on any topic can be found among experts in related fields but not the relevant specialty. Take Scott Atlas. Hmmm... well for me, it's not just his opinions on COVID. It's his view of the world that makes the doctor proposition highly dubious.
I will admit, however, that I'm giving doctors too much credit. I've met quite a few dumbasses in that profession myself. I just don't think I've met one that was ajax-level dumb. Who knows?
He lies for the money. Why is ajax doing it?Res Ipsa wrote:The worst cranks on any topic can be found among experts in related fields but not the relevant specialty. Take Scott Atlas. Please.

Agree. He is particularly and dangerously dishonest and loathsome.

I don't know why doctors who are this reckless don't lose their license. I mean, the same is true for bad lawyers, right? Doctors take an oath to save lives, not to try and kill more people which is effectively what his plan would do.Jersey Girl wrote: ↑Mon Nov 16, 2020 5:13 pmAgree. Watch this interview with a nurse in South Dakota whose treat about COVID denial among those dying of it went viral. https://Twitter.com/DrSenait/status/132 ... 39906?s=20

Re: COVID is getting worse
One could credibly raise a question as to his medical ethics under a pertinent AMA ethics opinion:
It wouldn't surprise me to learn that complaints have been filed against him. He's trashed his reputation within his profession by placing his libertarian politics (Hoover Institution) above his medical ethics.Physicians involved in the media environment should be aware of their ethical obligations to patients, the public, and the medical profession; and that their conduct can affect their medical colleagues, other health care professionals, as well as institutions with which they are affiliated. They should also recognize that members of the audience might not understand the unidirectional nature of the relationship and might think of themselves as patients. Physicians should:
Always remember that they are physicians first and foremost, and must uphold the values, norms, and integrity of the medical profession.
Encourage audience members to seek out qualified physicians to address the unique questions and concerns they have about their respective care when providing general medical advice.
Be aware of how their medical training, qualifications, experience, and advice are being used by media forums and how this information is being communicated to the viewing public.
Understand that as physicians, they will be taken as authorities when they engage with the media and therefore should ensure that the medical information they provide is:
Accurate
Inclusive of known risks and benefits
Commensurate with their medical expertise
Based on valid scientific evidence and insight gained from professional experience
Confine their medical advice to their area(s) of expertise, and should clearly distinguish the limits of their medical knowledge where appropriate.
Refrain from making clinical diagnoses about individuals (e.g., public officials, celebrities, persons in the news) they have not had the opportunity to personally examine.
Protect patient privacy and confidentiality by refraining from the discussion of identifiable information, unless given specific permission by the patient to do so.
Fully disclose any conflicts of interest and avoid situations that may lead to potential conflicts.
