Another parody - but this one, I agree with more than the previously posted message.

I hate the 3-hour block. The previous method of meetings twice on Sunday back in the 70s was worse, yet better in some ways. If we still had the separate meetings morning and evening on Sunday, I would probably only go to one meeting. Then church would only be an hour.

Where I worship now the prayer service lasts all morning. Some people stay for hours.

I go mid-morning, and leave when it's over.

That's usually a little over two hours for me. Anything longer, I start feeling like the walls are going to cave in.

I remember the two meetings on Sunday from the 1970's. I didn't mind them as much as the three hour block. It was a pain to have to go twice on Sunday. My family lived in the country, so driving into town was a big trip.

PROTIP: You can still attend church for only one hour, regardless of the way they schedule anything.

True, and another tip: take your own car so you can.

When my sister was Mormon (as a teen), she'd go to 9 hours of church each Sunday, so she could hang out with her friends. Or maybe it was because it was better than home - or both.

I'm a heathen, so I truly do not understand the three hour block. After going to church every Sunday for one's entire life, what is left to say and hear? Why does it take three hours to not say it?

I'm reminded of the self-flagellation of the Catholic institution Opus Dei. Does suffering bring you closer to God?

Maybe someone could suggest to the Apostles that, in the age of the internet, a short Sunday email would suffice.

By the way, I am a big fan of the missionary parody of "Hello." Really well done!
