Yep. You don't value communication with the higher beings that have only offered telepathic communication as the medium that they communicate with.
Oh I believed as you do at one time. So I did value it, but saw over time the many problems with this claim. The communication almost always fit with a person's world view. So how do we know this claim of telepathic communication is accurate, or that the mind cannot create the experience one is interpreting as communication from some unseen divine being?
Themis wrote:Which brings up the question why God will punish or reward people based on guessing which are the right beliefs.
God is trying to train us to be telepathic beings, beings who use the powers of the mind to communicate, and who use psychokinetic abilities to manipulate matter. He rewards behavior that leads to the exercise of these kinds of powers.

It's not my place to provide that kind of proof to you either. The way was explained in the scriptures to you when you read them. If God is not proving it to you in some more discernible way, it is something along the same lines as the prime directive, that he will allow your own will to allow you to gravitate to whatever it is that you truly value.
You could get the most out of life by making the sacrifices to take that type of thing seriously, namely, to choose to believe in spite of the delusion that your new epistemology has brought upon your mind. Since you choose differently, then the natural consequence of the choices follow. That is, you will not in the end be a being of power, because you did not train yourself in those powers. That was your choice, and you had to be placed in a situation to be able to make that choice. It wouldn't be fair otherwise, to let you become what you truly wanted to be: a being that is not a being of this type of power. Its like weight lifting. If you want to be a being of muscle mass, you will work out. Otherwise, you will be a pudgy person. You are the result of what you exercise.
Themis wrote:Yes you interpret certain feelings and thoughts to fit into your narrative of the world. No surprise there.
No kidding. I'm dealing with a God that communicates via a type of telepathy. Its not my fault that you don't want that communication, or that you don't take it seriously. Rather than being a problem on my part, it is rather one on your part. Its your epistemology that is wonked, not mine.
Can you demonstrate that this telepathy is more accurate than say .... making choices based on rolling dice?

Really? I don't see anything forcing it to be my problem. When I go home tonight, I won't be consumed with this issue, but I'll be watching some show on CuriosityStream that is productive use of my time. I don't see it being something that consumes me or causes me any kind of stress. So, how then is it my problem?
You are the one claiming god speaks to you via telepathy. Burden of proof is on the claimant.
Let's say god is communicating with you, and there is no discernible way to validate this. Then the consequences of not being guided by god's telepathy are meaningless, as there is no difference in the outcome.
My bet is on delusion.

You are the one that cares about proof. I'm just sitting here talking and not caring, and knowing that your demands do not create any kind of emergency or stress on my part.
