Wrong, David McKane. It matters very much what you think. At this point it appears that you are trying to say that city of Bountiful artifacts would look like fake hoax objects. Why are you doing this? Knowing what you think i.e. are those Michigan relics real, is crucial in helping me to grasp what you are trying to say.

No if I was a archeologist then ya it would matter. But I'm certainly not qualified to decide the authenticity of artifacts. I'm just pointing out that city of bountiful artifacts would look like the Bible depictions, hieroglyphs and Christ depictions like those that are depicted on those relics. That's it

At least the plates in the photographs actually exist, unlike the ones absconded by the wink wink nudge nudge *angel*.

It matters. All credible scholars know that those artifacts are fake and they have published why. One does not have to be an archaeologist to realize that those Michigan relics are confirmed hoaxes.

What I cannot understand with you David McKane, is why you are using verified hoax objects to try to make a point in support of the Book of Mormon. Why do you do this?

If you know that they are fabricated hoax artifacts, then it is very dishonest to try to use them to put false hope in members of the LDS church that evidence exists to support the Book of Mormon.

At this point it is probably safe to conclude that you believe that the Michigan relics are real. What you think is crucial, but you are being intentionally vague and it makes your post incoherent.

No such authentic relics have ever been found. So why do you bring up known hoax artifacts? Unless you believe those demonstrably fake objects are real, I cannot understand why you would do this. You say it doesn't matter what you think. Perhaps not to you, but as it stands right now, I don't think you are being honest. If you think they are real, say so and quit playing a game of what real things would look like. If you don't think they are real, then please answer why you would use known fraudulent items to try to lend support to the Book of Mormon. You aren't helping Mormonism with this kind of a song and dance.

According to archeologist and even church leaders the thousands of were made by two very ambitious people who wanted to make Indian artifacts with Bible depictions, Christ depiction and hieroglyphs while spreading them all over Michigan. What you do not want to admit is the whole premise of the post. City of bountiful artifacts would look like and be similar to these artifacts and also be found in Michigan.

I cannot comprehend the premise of the post because you are bringing in known fraud items and then trying to say real things would look like this. Will you admit here and now that no such authentic artifacts have ever been found? Or will you admit that you believe the fraudulent Michigan relics to be real?

Let's start at the beginning.
In what demonstrable way is the City of Bountiful more real than Narnia?
“When we are confronted with evidence that challenges our deeply held beliefs we are more likely to reframe the evidence than we are to alter our beliefs. We simply invent new reasons, new justifications, new explanations. Sometimes we ignore the evidence altogether.” (Mathew Syed 'Black Box Thinking')

I'm more curious as to what your answer is. And for you it's hypothetical but bountiful artifacts would have Bible depictions, heiroglyphs and Christ depiction correct or not?
