Hi Philo Sofee,
God is a 3-letter word that, like other words symbolizes a lot, but God (like "beauty" or "Love") symbolize more than most words. The word, "God" does serve a purpose - to help us label what we can't explain. It's like when you say, "I love you" to someone - how can you really explain how you feel about them - other than just say that?

You implied that what is real is "seeable and we can interact with and live in and see, smell and taste and live in." You're referring to nature - which makes sense when you think in terms of 5 senses. But, God represents also the 6th sense - intuition. God is a way of speaking about all of this and more - it's kind of like the "Tao" (in Taoism) that cannot really be described absolutely for several reasons, but primarily because your interpretation is unique to mine and visa versa.

by the way - thank you for discussing things like this with me - it's refreshing on a forum like this. :) Have a great Thanksgiving.

I like that quote. To me, it confirms the idea of some degree of free will... if free thought is a fact, then free will is also (you can't exercise your free will to deny your free will). But I'd add, within a window of opportunity.
