It doesn't matter how something comes - if it exists, then it exists. There are many book of Mormons all over the world. They are real, not imaginary.
Well then the good already exists independently of the fraud and there really is no need for the fraud after all.
Kolob’s set time is “one thousand years according to the time appointed unto that whereon thou standest” (Abraham 3:4). I take this as a round number. - Gee

The idea that we have to wrap knowledge in fantasies to sell to the credulous is the opposite of education and progress. It's a recipe for a totalitarian society based on manipulation and deception. "Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities," as Voltaire said. There were people who found positive things in Heaven's Gate and Jonestown. No thanks.
The LDS are not. But perhaps whatever the Laffertys had, was. And then there is the saga of the LeBarons.
I think that the LDS were traumatized enough by Mountain Meadows that there is little incidence of organized violence among them since. I don't believe they were any more (or less) violent than many of their neighbors during their movements west. The damage that is done by the conformity in Mormon culture is more the result of bad investments than of Modern Danite plots.
Unfortunately the LDS site is not accurate about the issue. you would be better off to read this one. It gives more accurate information about both DNA and Book of Mormon claims. It also includes new DNA research that looks at the whole DNA.

The CCC wrote: Unfortunately Jonestown was a death cult.
Mr. Southern is a disgruntled ex-member, and plant biologist with no relevant experience with human DNA.
I would say that any group that defends genocide is a death cult. Since that includes the Flood and the coming Apocalypse, I pronounce all fundamentalist and end times Christian groups "death cults".
You can't dismiss Southerton that easily, CCC. Faithful Mormons don't have any magic knowledge of DNA, sorry. They don't even know their own history, let alone that of the Earth they live on.
