Some thoughts...

Not my hobby! Although it did seem like his hobby the last day or so, the way he followed grindael around for 7 threads, calling him a loser, mocking his research, and trashing each of the 7 threads with the identical, nonsensical post. That's a sick hobby.

I sit corrected, Lemmie! I wasn't around when all of this recent stuff happened, but I believe you. I'm happy I wasn't here to see it.

Hmmm...did it rise to the level of...oh, I dunno...spam?

Hmm, not sure of the technical definition, but is spirit yes, or maybe more like a spamming derail. Starting with thread two, where it was explained in the OP that the thread was being re-started so mg could have the previous thread to continue to derail, mg re-posted the same full out obnoxious post, which had been fully responded to in thread 1, within less than 5 minutes. He repeated this derail, each time within mere minutes, on threads 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. Finally he stopped when grindael started thread 8.

Starting in thread three, and continuing in threads 4, 5, and 6 If I recall correctly, in addition to the re-post from thread one, he started posting repeatedly that grindael was a loser, over and over, and mocking his research by saying it was "just interesting," and why would someone do research if a topic was "just interesting." It was brutal and sick. He was an online bully, but grindael rose above it and just kept leaving the threads to him and moving on.

So yes, spam, derailing, bullying and dumbness, all rolled up into one mentalgymnast package, over and over and over. It was shameful on mentalgymnast's part and he owes grindael an apology. For mental to now claim "fishiness" because grindael deleted some posts is just absurd. Mental says it makes the threads look one-sided, as though he was just attacking for no reason. But guess what? Mental WAS attacking grindael for no reason, and it's perfectly clear, all on its own, from mental's posts.

Hey, I was a little shocked when my posts got moved once due to my derailing a while back, but I respected the decision and and I made my own decision to respect the request of the OP re: topic, going forward. Mentalgymnast seems to have no concept whatsoever of how to do that. In fact, he just accelerated the abuse. This thread here, started after he trashed 7 threads by grindael, where he calls himself "the voice of reason," and everyone else an "echo chamber," is hubris. Absurd, narcissistic hubris.

You have got to be joking! Who in the hell does that crap? You know what, I just got off 2 of 3 support groups that I help on and wtf there are people in desperate need of support half way losing their crap, and this guy is whacking out on MDB like an insolent child in a grown man's body for no good reason except he probably has more time and brain cells to kill than the average person.

That's what grindael did but Shades was away or something. By the time Shades was available and moved everything to Telestial, Mentalgymnast had trashed 6 or 7 threads. All of those were combined and moved to Telestial.

Ironically, mental promised not to troll any future threads in posts he made to threads 4, 5, and 6, If I recall correctly. He broke his word every time and kept trolling until thread 8.

At this point where it's been a couple of days since Shades said he'd make some comments, I'm not expecting that he will at this point. I sort of wanted to keep the thread 'up and running' until he returned as he said he might.

Time to move on, I guess.
