The board nanny has spoken. So let it be said, so let it be written.

At this point where it's been a couple of days since Shades said he'd make some comments, I'm not expecting that he will at this point. I sort of wanted to keep the thread 'up and running' until he returned as he said he might.

Board nanny? I'm not the whiney little bitch who started this thread. You are. There are rules in place and methods for enforcing them. That you chose to start yet another OP whining about other people in the hopes that Shades would comment here, is testimony to what it is that you really want and it's not moderator intervention. What I suggest is that people use the rules and methods (reports/requests) for getting your trolling comments out of their hair on serious threads. Don't like it? Direct your complaints to Shades who made the rules and who receives our reports and requests. Probably the last thing he needs in life is to spend time wading through a thread like this to figure out what went wrong.

But you don't mind monopolizing anyone's time, now do you? Quite the contrary, you crave it.

Time to move on, I guess.

MG

by the way, it's grindael that "trashed" (to condemn, dismiss, or criticize as worthless) the threads. He started them over one by one...having trashed the one before. But yeah, I know what you mean. You're entitled to your own opinion though, as everyone is.

I don't know that it is possible to go back at this point and see what each thread 'looked like' individually to actually make a judgement call. But I suppose we can simply go on someone's word(?) as to whether or not I was the culprit. I don't think I was. You think I was. No real 'proof' one way or the other.

It was pretty much a 'knee jerk' reaction on grindael's part for a number of those threads. They came and they went within a matter of minutes.

It was kind of weird.

I do know that part of that process of starting new threads also included deleting his own posts in some threads. How many at this point, I don't know. The 'evidence' is kind of hard to work with from what I can see. WHY he did is anyone's guess.

Anyway, water under the bridge at this point unless folks decide to carry it on. I'm not going to pursue it any further unless I'm having to return to protect my good name. I know that sounds kind of 'wonky' to you. And I think I can understand that from what would be your own POV. We just don't see things from the same perspective. That is what's at the root of some of these confrontations. Condemnation is often the result.

Good to see you got your mojo back. When you say stuff like that it almost persuades me that profanity really is a tool for betterment in this world. Yes, in my opinion, you ARE the board nanny. Live with it. At least in respect to the fact that this is my perception.

Nothing wrong with nannying. But you have to realize folks are free to regard it or disregard it according to their own perceptions of conditions/realities, etc.

But go ahead, I'm sure you'll have something else to say. You are perfectly welcome to your opinion and outspoken behavior. Realize that folks are going to take it or leave it, however.

It was in the OP. He didn't have to read very far. In fact he read the OP and then responded that he would try and come back.

That's all. Don't make it more than it is. You have a tendency to do that.

If you want to keep this going, go ahead. But as I've said, it appears to be water under the bridge at this point.

Actually, that's not true. It's a lie.

You are monopolizing my time...and others that are taking the time to read this stuff... at this point.

I'm done whenever you are.

In fact, when the 'hecklers' keep things going and I return to protect my good name...I consider THAT to be a humongous/colossal waste of my time. And that's the truth. And I'm getting tired of it.

Done yet?

I hadn't read this before my last posting and thought it well to return and say, "Good work, Jersey. That's admirable."

Yep, you got it back together.

Your "good name"? Seriously?? You're an anonymous participant interacting with other anonymous participants in a mostly anonymous forum.

Your "good name"?

Yes sir. It's called, "personal integrity". It is important to me. Online or not.

I'm sure you think likewise?

Oh? Is this a recent development?

mentalgymnast wrote:I'm sure you think likewise?
Well, that depends on how you choose to define "integrity," doesn't it?

I know how I define it. I suppose that for you to answer the question I asked you previously you would have to know what it means to you.

I am very comfortable with the way I define it. And I would suppose that you are too?

You seem to have said earlier...and correct me if I'm wrong...that personal integrity isn't that important when you're online in a forum such as this?

For the record, I believe integrity is important in all aspects of my life...online and in real life.

Again, I would assume that you feel the same way??? Along with the others here?
