Nipper is talking like the reincarnation of the inquisition that convicted Galileo of denying the fact that the sun and the planets all revolve around the earth.

The Inquisition was under the mistaken notion that the placement of the sun, moon, planets, and stars somehow limited God's ability to do what He wished ---namely cause the sun to stand still...
Kind of like the Amish farmer who refused to place lightning rods on his roofs because he do not wish to thwart God's abilities. Such are as limited in their scope of God as are scientists who totally ignore His Sovereignty today. The Universe moves at God's command and not under any power of its own.

Does God have a science that is different than ours?

Nipper this could be an interesting observation you are pointing to but it seems incomplete. Why would the Christian authorities not believe God is able to do as he wishes? That God is all powerful in such matters is a basic part of the things they believed to be true about God. Also I am puzzled as to how the planets going around the sun would make it any more or less difficult for God to make the sun stand still.

They wrongly imagine that GOD will not superseded the physical Laws He established for His creation. In truth GOD established the Laws of nature for OUR benefit and not ours. And as for the stopping of the sun they would say that God would have to stop the earth in it's spinning. The fact remains that somehow GOD halted the progression of the Sun across the sky and how He accomplished it I do not know. The reality is that GOD can do what He wishes as He wishes with His creation.

Is LittleNipper a 12 year old that has gotten onto his dad's computer without his knowledge?
