Nipper , I am getting lost with your comment. Why in the world would the inquisition think that God will not supersede the physical laws he established? They most certainly believed God could work all kinds of miracles and could do what he wished with his creation.
You don't understand the depth's of Littlenippers ignorance.
Surely, God could have caused birds to fly with their bones made of solid gold, with their veins full of quicksilver, with their flesh heavier than lead, and with their wings exceedingly small. He did not, and that ought to show something. It is only in order to shield your ignorance that you put the Lord at every turn to the refuge of a miracle. Galileo

You don't believe that GOD is GOD ---- if you imagine Him at all.
If you ignite a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen you get an explosion with water as the result. This is true whether you are a disciple of Odin or an atheist. What the evidence supports is independent of one's belief in a god. Your own sources admitted that it would take 30,000 years for the C-14 rate of production to match the rate of its removal. You can't have it both ways Little Nipper. You have items with a very low C-14 signature and others with a high signature. These are separated by a minimum of 30,000 years. Deal with it.
Kolob’s set time is “one thousand years according to the time appointed unto that whereon thou standest” (Abraham 3:4). I take this as a round number. - Gee

They believed that GOD's creation reflected HIM and that this creation mirror Him. They had a difficult time accepting that GOD wasn't going to fit within the mold He Created.

About as enlightening as I found it the first time you cited it. It fails to explain the discrepancy I raised. And you fail as well seeing all you are capable of doing is citing psuedoscientific publications without any personal comment.

Here you go Little Nip. I am quoting from your own source!
In other words, the amount of 14C being produced in the atmosphere must equal the amount being removed to be in a steady state (also called “equilibrium”). If this is not true, the ratio of 14C to 12C is not a constant, which would make knowing the starting amount of 14C in a specimen difficult or impossible to accurately determine.
What does this mean? If it takes about 30,000 years to reach equilibrium and 14C is still out of equilibrium, then maybe the earth is not very old.
In reality the production rate varies hence the use of tree rings to calibrate the variation in the rate of production. At the present time the production rate exceeds the rate of removal by a small amount. Tree ring data shows that just the reverse was true not that long ago in the past.
But assuming the argument were valid what would this mean?
If as creationists say there was a canopy surrounding the earth before "the flood of Noah" that kept C-14 production low, then after the removal of that canopy it would take nearly 30,000 years for the present near equilibrium we observe today between production rate and the rate of removal to become established. How do the authors miss this glaring contradiction in their argument? OTOH without the canopy there is no explanation for anything with a low C-14 ratio which indicates great age. It's a double edged sword Little Nip. You can't have it both ways. Either way you slice it a young Earth is disproved by the data. And your AiG authors were too dense to see this glaring inconsistency in their thinking. Why? Because they weren't actually thinking. They were busy making apologetic assertions not realizing the implications of what they were stating.

What you seem to totally overlook is that GOD during HIS 6 day creation epic, would have created an ecological perfect environment including the level of C-14. God would have also have originally created fully grown trees (Eat from any tree except for the Tree of Knowledge of Good & Evil) with rings and Adam and Eve with navels as everything was in a prototype stage. I know this is more than you can swallow ------ so don't let me drown you by suggesting the Flood would have played havoc with the once perfect environment.
One either believes that there is a Creator GOD or one must parlay with the need for billions of years of extrapolation. To coin a phrase from Gilbert & Sullivan's H.M.S. Pinafore "Things are seldom what the seem." We have the Fall to "thank" for that.

Perhaps Galileo couldn't imagine the depths of ignorance society at large would sink to without GOD.
