Use my words on this thread...since you're bringing it up here apparently in response to something I've said.

If you are not able to show that what you are saying is true/accurate, I would like an apology. I don't like being called an apostate or heretic.

Calling you an apostate would be accurate.

It is getting rather tiresome to keep hearing/seeing people 'make stuff up'.

It seems as though some folks want to put God in a box and put limitations on Him, and when He doesn't conform to their dictates and/or their conscience(Joseph struggled with the saints in his day concerning the same issue) they break like glass.

Actually, it is the Mormons that want to limit God. They have done so since the time of Joseph Smith. What you are preaching above, is in no way Mormon doctrine. Here is Joseph Smith to show how wrong you are:

Question 3rd. Will every body be damned but Mormons?
Answer. Yes, and a great portion of them, unless they repent and work righteousness.

No qualifications. EVERYONE will be damned EXCEPT the Mormons. So much for the all inclusive God you are trying to sell.

Question 1st. Do you believe the Bible?
Answer. If we do, we are the only people under heaven that does. For there are none of the religious sects of the day that do.
Question 2nd. Wherein do you differ from other sects?
Answer. Because we believe the Bible, and all other sects profess to believe their interpretations of the Bible, and their creeds.

The arrogance here is just stupefying. Mormonism has ALWAYS been US vs. EVERYONE ELSE. (God vs. Satan) Always.

“Eternal life is to know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and dwell with Them forever—to inherit a place in the highest degree of the celestial kingdom (see John 17:3; D&C 131:1–4; 132:21–24). To receive this great gift, we must do more than repent of our sins and be baptized and confirmed by appropriate priesthood authority. Men must receive the Melchizedek Priesthood, and all Church members must make and keep sacred covenants in the temple, including eternal marriage” (True to the Faith [2004], 153).

There is no other "way" but Mormonism. Anyone who says the church teaches otherwise is lying. This is not from an "all inclusive" God. This is a limited God, a God who is Mormon and anyone who does not conform to that sect cannot dwell with him - have "eternal life".

The irony. When the same poster recently "seriously questioned " what God would do when confronted with a soul who was a good person but nevertheless had left Mormonism, he was actually closer to Joseph Smith's doctrine than he is with the above renunciation of Mormon belief.

You just can't sugar coat this with platitudes about an all inclusive God. Anyone who ties to, is being deceitful.

Earlier I said:

It seems as though some folks want to put God in a box and put limitations on Him, and when He doesn't conform to their dictates and/or their conscience(Joseph struggled with the saints in his day concerning the same issue) they break like glass.

Joseph Smith said:

If I revealed all that has been made known to me, scarcely a man on this stand would stay with me.' and 'Brethren, if I were to tell you all I know of the kingdom of God, I do know that you would rise up and kill me.

-------------

I have tried for a number of years to get the minds of the Saints prepared to receive the things of God; but we frequently see some of them, after suffering all they have for the work of God, will fly to pieces like glass as soon as anything comes that is contrary to their traditions: they cannot stand the fire at all. How many will be able to abide a celestial law, and go through and receive their exaltation, I am unable to say, as many are called, but few are chosen.

-------------

“Had I inspiration, revelation, and lungs to communicate what my soul has contemplated in times past, there is not a soul in this congregation but would go to their homes and shut their mouths in everlasting silence on religion till they had learned something.

“Why be so certain that you comprehend the things of God, when all things with you are so uncertain? You are welcome to all the knowledge and intelligence I can impart to you."

-------------

Joseph was weary of the fact that he was unable to share/give the saints everything which God had given him.

“Some people say I am a fallen Prophet, because I do not bring forth more of the word of the Lord. Why do I not do it? Are we able to receive it? No! not one in this room.”

“I will from time to time reveal to you the subjects that are revealed by the Holy Ghost to me. All the lies that are now hatched up against me are of the devil, and the influence of the devil and his servants will be used against the kingdom of God. The servants of God teach nothing but principles of eternal life, by their works ye shall know them. A good man will speak good things and holy principles, and an evil man evil things. I feel, in the name of the Lord, to rebuke all such bad principles, liars, etc., and I warn all of you to look out whom you are going after.

A few interesting stats:

Healthcare Ministry
Hospitals and Sanitariums 175
Nursing Homes and Retirement Centers 140
Clinics and Dispensaries 385
Orphanages and Children’s Homes 29
Airplanes and Medical Launches 7
Outpatient Visits over 18,540,278

Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA)
Countries and Areas of the World Where ADRA is Present over 130
Total Projects Funded 7,733
Beneficiaries of Projects 14,787,780
Funds for Program Support and Implementation in excess of US$180,000,000

The Adventists are just getting started. They don't yet have any shopping malls, VIP hunting lodges, luxury apartments, and master planned communities to brag about like Mormons. Being concerned about the poor, needy, sick, and orphans is so old fashioned. /s
Mormons have 83,000 missionaries to spread the gospel of 15 old men that nobody really wants to be a part of.
