Thus far the first line of defense from Right Wing media has taken a few routes:

1) Incessantly reiterate that nothing here is illegal ( I think Bolling has said this at least six times within a minute)
2) Keep showing video clips of the Russian Lawyer when she says she has no connection with Russian government
3) Derail to something about Obama not doing anything about the problem
4) Derail to Hillary Clinton saying she gave Russia 20% of our Uranium (Eric Bolling is yapping this debunked nonsense as we speak)
3) Rinse and repeat

White House deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders read a statement from the President defending his son during an off-camera briefing with reporters Tuesday.

"My son is a high-quality person and I applaud his transparency," Sanders said, reading a statement from Trump.

There comes a time when I am simply unwilling to dump my morality, for several reasons, this means far too much to me.

My watch is working, I have taken a good long look at both hands on said watch, I know full well where each of the hands are resting and I am ready to announce what time it is. It's time to take a stand! It's time to place America first.

At this point, there is clearly more than enough information to know with absolute certainty that Trump Jr. (As well as others that are very close to the President) willfully and knowingly collaborated with the Russian government for the intentional purpose to actively shape our recent Presidential election.
A line wasn't simply crossed, it was passed by several miles, and it was crossed during the middle of an election cycle.

As an American conservative, I am unwilling to accept some of the garbage that is coming from certain individual conservatives who have a voice in the media (attempted collusion doesn't mean collusion. Gathering dirt against your opponent isn't against the law. Foreign influence is common in US elections, etc)

To suggest that it's even possible that the President wasn't aware of any of this is beyond preposterous.

The Russian government attempted to influence our democracy in our country, America - And American citizens met with the Russian government for the purposes of collecting dirt on another American citizen - Hillary Clinton.

ARE YOU FUUUKING KIDDING ME!!!!!!

It's time to remove our political badges.
It's time to put down our partisan swords.
It's time to stop leaning left.
It's time to stop leaning right.
It's time to straighten ourselves.
It's time to stand.
It's time to unite.
It's time to be Americans.
It's time.

I don't know if this will ever reach a courtroom - and I don't really care.
That all rests under the "criminal standard."

Impeachment - however - rests under the "political standard."

It's time!

Peace,
Ceeboo

That's great CeeBoo. Now, if you could get together with the other seven American Conservatives who feel the same way, maybe you can start a movement.

Back up the truck a minute there, Kevin. Would you agree that tea party types make up the largest percentage of the conservative population in the US? a.k.a. Trump supporters?

Lawrence O'Donnell pointed out tonight that the person who is in the most immediate trouble is the cc: recipient Jared Kushner. Kushner filled out security forms to receive Top Secret security clearance. An omission on that form can cost you five years in prison.

If I were Robert Mueller, I'd be looking very carefully at Jared Kushner. Not only because of the Top Secret clearance, but because of his relationship to data analytics in the Trump campaign. I don't know if there is anything there, but that would seem to be a logical channel to investigate for the dissemination of information.

And Ceeboo, I think you might see a bit of the support structure around Trump begin to crack in the next few weeks. And you're right about pulling back from party and seeing country. Let your conscience and the Constitution be your guide. I think you're going to see that from some more Republicans in the next few weeks.

But the canary in this particular coal mine is Fox News. It'll be interesting to watch their coverage in the next few weeks.

To the Kushner angle of this story. It looks like his clearance form was amended as soon as Kushner's legal team found the emails.

NYTimes wrote:While Donald Trump Jr. has been the main focus of the controversy because he set up the meeting, Mr. Kushner faces potential trouble because he currently works in the White House and neglected to mention the encounter on forms he filled out for a background check to obtain a security clearance.

The emails were discovered in recent weeks by Mr. Kushner’s legal team as it reviewed documents, and the team amended his clearance forms to disclose it, according to people briefed on the developments, who like others declined to be identified because of the sensitive political and legal issues involved.

And apparently President Trump's lawyers are none too happy with Kushner's role in all this.

NYT wrote:The president’s lawyers view Mr. Kushner as an obstacle and a freelancer more concerned about protecting himself than his father-in-law, the person said. While no ultimatum has been delivered, the lawyers have told colleagues that they cannot keep operating that way, raising the prospect that Mr. Kasowitz may resign.

It's time for me to change my political affiliation from "Republican" to "unaffiliated". I no longer want to be identified as belonging either major party.

They can shove it. I'm done.
