Revelation 7:4-7 (KJV)

4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

5 Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.

6 Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.

7 Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.

8 Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.


The tribe of Dan is not mentioned within those verses. But Manasseh is.

Perhaps it is mainly because of Revelation 7:6 that Joseph Smith had Lehi as a descendant of Manasseh.

In front of the throne was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal.

In the center, around the throne, were 4 living beings covered with eyes in front and behind.

The 1st living being was like a lion, the 2nd living being was like an ox, the 3rd living being had a face that looked human, and the 4th living being was like a flying eagle.

Each of the 4 living beings had 6 wings and was covered with eyes inside and out; and day and night they never stop saying,

“Holy, holy, holy is Adonai, God of heaven’s armies --- the One who was, is and is coming!”

And whenever the living beings give glory, honor and thanks to the One sitting on the throne, to the One who lives forever and for eternity,

the 24 elders fall down before the One sitting on the throne, who lives forever and for eternity, and worship Him. They tossed their crowns in front of the throne and say,

“You are worthy, Dear Lord, to have glory, honor and power, because you created everything — absolutely, because of your will they were created
and came into existance!”

What is that supposed to prove? It's been almost seventy years. We've been hearing this latest silly endtimes stuff from William Miller and Hal Lindsay for the last 170 years. Televangelists love it because it brings in money, same with the silly apocalyptic booksellers. The Crouches, the Bakkers, Swaggart, Pat Robertson, Oral Roberts, all those con jobs worked that line, all scaring people with stories about Israel and the Soviets and Saddam, all for money, money, money.

Revelation 8:1-13

When the Lamb broke the 7th seal, there was silence in heaven for what seemed like half an hour.

Then I saw the 7 angels who stand before God, and they were allotted 7 shofars.

Another angel came and stood before the altar with an incense-bowl of gold, and he was given a large quantity of incense to add to the prayers of all God’s people

on the gold altar in front of the throne. The smoke of the incense went up with the prayers of God’s people from the hand of this angel before God.

Then the angel took the incense-bowl, filled it with fire from the altar and cast it down upon the earth; and there followed thunder claps, voices, flashes of lightning and an earthquake.

Now the 7 angels with 7 shofars prepared to sound them.

The 1st one sounded his shofar; and there came hail and fire mingled with blood, and it was cast down upon the earth. One third of the earth was burned, a third of the trees were consumed, and all green grass was burned up.

The 2nd angel sounded his shofar, and what appeared like an enormous blazing mountain was hurled into the sea. A third of the sea turned to blood,

a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.

The third angel sounded his shofar; and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky onto a third of the rivers and onto the springs of water.

The name of the star was “Bitterness,” and a third of the water became bitter, and many people died from the water that had been poisoned.

The fourth angel sounded his shofar; and a third of the sun was struck, also a third of the moon and a third of the stars; so that a third of them dimmed, the day had a third less light, and the night likewise.

So the question needs to be asked, when does that generation begin and at which date? The Bible clearly states that no one but the Father knows the exact time.
