Why do you imagine that anyone on this board is obligated to report anything to anyone?

but have instead just been satisfied to post incidents here, so apparently, it’s all good.

Yeah. It's the topic.

Please, JP, please don't clutter up the thread with your repeated personal crises. IHAQ has summed up the situation perfectly:
IHAQ wrote:Your continuing insistence that this thread is the problem, that it’s posters bear the responsibility for providing the material to Dan for him to correct it etc is utterly ridiculous. And obviously utterly ridiculous. I think you like the attention you’re getting and so are posting nonsense to try and draw fire.

Where did I say they were obligated? Or that I think they should, for that matter?

but have instead just been satisfied to post incidents here, so apparently, it’s all good.

Yeah. It's the topic.

Yeah, and a pretty pointless one at that.

I’m sick of you saying that my comments are off topic simply because they go against the grain of everyone else here. If I Have A Question attacks me, which he did, I damned well have a right to respond. If you want me to butt out, call off your attack dogs.

Please read my post again, as that is not at all what i said:

For example, thinking attack dogs have been sicced on you in this thread would be an example of a personal crisis of yours that is irrelevant to the topic.
.
And of course I would never ask you to butt out as that would be against the rule to never disinvite someone. Please tell free to comment ---ON THE TOPIC.

I'll admit that when you have a poster trying to thwart the topic by trolling and derailing it from the onset on behalf of the plagiarist in question, it does present a bit of a challenge however a vast majority of posters have managed to stay on topic.

The responsibility falls squarely on the shoulders of the author.

As I stated previously, IHAQ personally attacked me and I have a right to respond.

If you think that’s a personal crisis, that’s too damned bad. If you were being personally attacked on my thread, I would certainly allow you to respond and not discourage it.

But if someone attacks me, I will respond. You want me to stay on topic? Encourage others to treat me civilly. Then I’ll comment on the topic instead of personal attacks on me.

ETA—There are folks who have managed to treat me civilly. DrW, Tator, Philo, Kish, and Ceeboo are good examples.

JP,

Is DCP going to self-report his plagiarism as required under the Honor Code DCP signed and agreed to when he became an employee of BYU.

If so, when? If not, why?

Also, is DCP going to self-report his plagiarism to the D-News?

If so, when? If not, why?

Is DCP going to self-report his plagiarism to Patheos?

If so, when? If not, why?

I have no idea, Everybody Wang Chung. You have the man’s email address. Why don’t you ask him?
