Be more specific, what academic journals?

Go watch the podcast yourself.

You will get famous and win many prizes if you prove that climate change isn't happening.

Do all roads lead to climate change for liberals or something? Who said I wanted to try and prove that? Who said I didn't believe it? It's Themis trying to bring that into the issue, not me.

Themis wrote:WD was just making a strawman argument. Scientists are the ones who have been bringing up these kind of concerns for a very long time. WD ended up showing one of the best parts of academia which is it's self correcting mechanisms because of obvious imperfections of humans who are the scientists. WD is very anti any science he doesn't like. This is not how one is going to gain the best information on how the world works or how to make good decisions that can impact our lives.

No, but that's what you're doing right now. It's not "anti" to merely point out the truth, that your results have a low confidence. I have no feelings about the matter whatsoever. Again, the TBM argument.

by the way, remember my nuclear power arguments, that you all ridiculed? Seems more than a few people agree with me.

We are writing as scientists, scholars, and concerned citizens to warn you of a persistent anti-nuclear bias in the recent Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report on keeping global temperatures from rising 1.5 degrees above pre-industrial levels.[1]

While many of the scenarios in the IPCC report call for the expanded use of nuclear energy, the report nonetheless repeats misinformation about nuclear energy, contrasts nuclear negatively to renewables, and in some cases, suggests an equivalency with fossil fuels.

“The anti-nuclear bias of this latest IPCC release is rather blatant,” said Kerry Emanuel, a climate scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, “and reflects the ideology of the environmental movement. History may record that this was more of an impediment to decarbonization than climate denial.”

Urrrrr so anti, water dog

The report emphasizes “fast deployment of renewables like solar and wind” and largely ignores the essential role nuclear energy must play in any decarbonization effort.

two Harvard researchers published a paper showing that trying to fuel our energy-intensive society solely with renewables would require cartoonish amounts of land. How cartoonish? Consider: meeting America’s current demand for electricity alone—not including gasoline or jet fuel, or the natural gas required for things like space heating and fertilizer production—would require covering a territory twice the size of California with wind turbines.

I must be a prophet. I mean I say it, days later people write articles about it. Turns out I was right, I don't need to read RI's thousand page report to tell you how dumb and politicized it is. But power engineering isn't economics, or something.

And podcasts are somehow more reliable? I like Joe Rogan, but watching a podcast isn't a good way to do serious research.

More websites.

Oh, looky, I love it when people retract what they said, when their brain sort of catches up with their mouth and they are hoping to sneak a change in before anyone notices.

It doesn't matter Water Dog!

"more websites" and "environmentalprogress? Hahahahahahahaha" is the same thing!

What Water Dog linked is a literal nuclear power lobbying firm. Why should we be surprised they have staunch pro-nuclear views?
