Nelsons daughter and son-in-law accused of sex abuse

As a grandmother, (I'm not a grandmother) if I found out about sexual abuse which included a babysitter that my daughters used, I'd probably warn them too. My other option would be to tell my daughters to steer away from that babysitter at all costs...which would then, of course, result in questions as to why.

However, the children who reported the second, non-Bullock sex ring did not know what the children in the Bullock case had said and were too young to come up with the consistent, spontaneous, explicit detail and congruent emotional affect that they manifested. These two Bountiful sex rings were never linked by any children as far as I know....

I think the theory has always been that Snow was the link, and was the one providing the "consistent, spontaneous, explicit detail" that tied the two cases together.

There are so many stories of people (and kids) who reported the way Snow was influencing things. They could even see it back then. As Bullock's Stake President wrote:

In a letter to the Board of Pardons prior to Bullock's parole hearing, Craig L. Smith, a former stake president in Bullock's LDS Stake in Bountiful, wrote there were still "many questions unanswered . . . regarding what, if anything, really happened."

"I interviewed Barbara Snow after having six sets of parents complain regarding the pressure she was placing on their children during her interviews," Smith also wrote. "These parents felt Barbara Snow was using techniques to confuse and cause their children to question their own knowledge of what really occurred."

Smith did not respond to requests to be interviewed for this story. Some of the alleged victims, including Bullock's own son, later recanted their accusations.

"I've spent two-thirds of my life without a dad because of some stupid social worker," Bullock's son said following his father's parole hearing.

He's the guy I most sympathise with. I don't know if he sexually abused anyone. But he refused to go into therapy because he always maintained his innocence even if it added years to his sentence.

I did consider it.

In fact, I hiked Mt. Olympus to the summit this last Sunday and as I was pondering these things, it began to snow on my wife and I. Coincidence? I think not. Barbara Snow. Mr. Olympus snow. Both were extremely treacherous and, as it did with Ms. Snow, it took considerable skill to navigate the 'snow storm' as it were.

Serious or not, the theory would fail in that without Barbara Snow, there probably wouldn't have been any accusations made in the first place.

Maybe the initial accusations would have been raised in the case of the ex-wife for Bullock, but it wouldn't have spread to 40 people in the Hadfield case, or the larger ring in Bountiful. And even with the accusations, no evidence was ever uncovered, so they wouldn't have needed Snow in the first place. If they were doing it, they were getting away with it, and still do to this day.
