Will Mississippi change?

Post by _aussieguy55 »

Median Income: $40,528
Unemployment Rate: 9.6%
Poverty Rate: 22.3%

We’re probably going to see a lot of southern states on this list. And we start with the absolute poorest: Mississippi.

While the Magnolia State has some of the nicest, most generous people in the country, the fact is, it’s a very poor place. It ranks at the top of every single category we measured.

You can probably trace the inequality back to the antebellum period when the few plantation owners controlled the economy. My guess is that the same families are still in control. South American countries seem to be controlled by the same few families that have always controlled those countries since Spain and Portugal started their colonies as well.

Can you explain why the 10 poorest states in the US are red states?

false equivalence is the most accurate and appropriate answer.

Besides we have been down this road and all that we learned is that the dumbest American is still more intelligent than the smartest Aussie.

Our Government provided a part subsidy for people to have solar panels on their roofs. I took it up and with 12 panels my last electricity bill for 3 people in my house was for three months $38.00. Three quarters of the homes in my street have solar panels. One party is bringing a policy for subsidy for batterys. So solar, wind and tide is fast becoming sources of clean power.
