The same process that has always been used before.
Where do you want them sheltered? Vetted? What process? Where would you, Kevin President, house 5K people all at the same time knowing full well that there's another caravan coming north and (get this) knowing that last time this happened and the folks were housed in Walmart and field tents that everyone and their dog bitched about like their lives depended on it because heat and separations, and ____ Texas.
Listen. I have been kind to you. I have actually complimented you at least twice here on you know...mount muscles for days and your pretty little head which in my view both observations are true and accurate, and so how about shake that ____ and see if an idea falls out.
You shake. I'll be back later to see if anything resembling an idea actually presented itself.
I know you think you're being cute and witty while pretending to compliment my physique (wtf does this have to do with anything, I have no idea), but you're just being a condescending little brat and you know it. You've twice now suggested I'm brainless but this is only because you don't like my answers, which I've stated several times now despite your annoying repeat of the same question.
This isn't rocket science Jersey Girl. We've handled waves of migrants before without breaking the law or violating anyone's human rights. Your suggestion here is that unless I come up with some answer that satisfies you (let's face it, you're not really looking for a satisfying answer), then the only option left to us must be what Trump is doing.
Just send troops, treat them like subhumans, and use lethal force if someone throws a damned stone! I mean, at least that's something we can do in "real time" right?
The fact is I do not subscribe to the racist notion that we ever had a immigration problem. As stated before, more people are going back to Mexico on their own than coming in. These people are not terrorists. They're not even damned armed. This idea of evil "tagalongs" proves your ignorance of what the actual process entails. You didn't know that asylum applicants are vetted! I tried to present a quick educational outline of the process but you just spit back at me and insult my intelligence all the while having nothing original of your own to say.
This idea that 5,000 would all have to be detained in a warehouse on American soil was not necessary until Trump ordered Sessions to prosecute everyone who crossed. Going through a legitimate asylum process didn't mean long term detaining but being prosecuted does. So this is more of a problem created by Trump's new policy than anything else. Normally they'd line up outside the border, be permitted to enter and file for asylum one at a time. As long as the line is moving, they're not going to try to jump the wall. They've already been sleeping in a shelter for weeks just waiting for the line to start. The system can process 5,000 people faster than you think, especially when small families are processed together, without detaining them for weeks and weeks. But this requires more resources and manpower and the fact is this administration has no interest in providing this because it means more dirty brown people getting asylum.
