I don't doubt there were other factors involved but how about, instead of doing your pathetic, childish and entirely expected contrarian hand waving routine, you actually provide data to show what caused the decrease if its not Trump's incompetence. Here's where subgenius and ajax18 (and perhaps people like Ceeboo and Markk) come into play. He knows that if he tells scared blue collar workers what they want to hear he'll get their support. He knows when he tells the scared White people that he'll get rid of the "bad" non-White people he'll get their support. Supposedly they had a tape of DJT telling the New York Slimes that, "build the wall," was just campaign rhetoric and that he was really a lifelong Democrat disguised currently as a Republican with no intention of enforcing the border. I think this has proven to be untrue.

I don't suppose you remember Beck's exact words (or close to them)? My Google-fu is pulling up unrelated stuff (I can't seem to land on the right search terms).

I remember Garrett Jackson (from Romney's campaign) suggesting that Trump better hope that a recording didn't exist of Trump urging Romney's presidential campaign (circa 2012?) to use birtherism because "rightwing crazies will believe it." But I don't remember this particular thing from Beck -- then again, he was kind of a whirlwind there for a while, so it's hard to really remember anything from him.

I did not realize that all borders must have a hugely expensive and ineffective wall built on them to qualify as borders.

Aside from the question of how you manage to process this sort of border security issue with the intellectual firepower of a caterpillar, I’d recommend that you might want to travel outside of this country someday to see how this sort of thing works elsewhere.
