It's fine, Chap. He plays an important role in kind of pulling together the facts for the sake of discussion. I'm glad he's participating.
That said, and onto another aspect of whether or not Trump will make it to 2020, Maria Butina just cut a plea deal with investigators. Why I find this interesting is because she basically helped the GOP to get balls deep in Russian shenanigans. She helped the NRA funnel Russian money to the GOP, acting as a foreign agent so Russia could meet their geopolitical aims with the help of our own folks. So, when the question of whether or not Trump will face criminal charges is actually actionable, we have to remember that, I'd have to guess conservatively (heh) there are around 20-30 GOP party members that will be screwed hard by the FBI. What that means in practical terms is that Trump won't be around to pardon them, and the party may be so politically toxic that Pence might not exercise his power to pardon them if they've been shown to be Russian collaborators.
And... I have a feeling EA may like to read this, but I'm fairly certain Scott Walker has interacted with her quite a bit. I'd love to know how much and to what degree he was involved with her. That could bring some healing to the cross he's had to bear as a Wisconsinite.

For those of you who are not understanding the point subs is having difficulty typing out... the argument from the Right is basically this.
Trump is guilty of directing Cohen to commit a crime, but that doesn't mean Trump committed a crime.
With respect to campaign finance felonies, intent is key. The filings say Cohen's intent was to affect the election, but it doesn't explicitly attribute that same intent to Individual 1. Trump could get out of this by saying he did it for "personal reasons" since he assumed he was going to lose the election anyway.
Most folks in the media have been jumping the gun here saying Trump has been accused of committing a felony, but that may not be entirely accurate. He is accused of directing someone else to commit an act that he or may not have understood to be a criminal act.
Here is a pretty good piece that explains the arguments from both sides:

The only questions that remain are whether the collusion that took place constituted criminally liable conspiracy, whether obstruction of justice occurred to cover up any collusion or conspiracy, and how many members of “Trump Incorporated” attempted to defraud the government by laundering and concealing the movement of money into their pockets.

Napolitano says if Trump directed it, he committed a felony.

"This is the Southern District of New York," Napolitano said during an appearance on Fox News' "America Newsroom" on Monday morning. "This is the oldest and most prestigious federal prosecutors' office in the country. They would not make an allegation like that if they did not have corroborated evidence to support it."

Clearly Napolitano has not spoken to subgenius about this.

I’m learning along with the rest of you. I’ve never dived into the intricacies of campaign finance law.
