So it's racist to claim that Republicans adopted a deliberate strategy of appealing to Hispanic voters in general and Mexican-Americans in particular with immigration policy being one arm of this effort in the early 2000's? And this was done with the intent to craft a durable Republican demographic majority? Can you explain how that's racist? Karl Rove isn't a race. You know that, right?

It would be racist to claim that Mexican-Americans had (and still have) low voter engagement or are more culturally conservative relative to the general population and the Democratic party in particular if that were a false stereotype. Something tells me that you managed to discover those facts in between the time you wrote those two posts. That leads to the hilarious, "You're being racist against Republicans!" charge. Or, perhaps you are saying that believing that Hispanic voters could be persuaded to be more Republican in significant numbers with immigration policy is itself racist. But that would be a charge of racism leveled at the political strategists who pursued that strategy, not people who simply note the strategy existed. But, in their defense, doing something about the Republican association with xenophobic hatred of Hispanics probably would reduce a barrier to entry for voting Republican for a not insignificant number of Hispanics. So now we're just left with you disputing a widely reported political strategy that at one point was a major theme in political coverage for years. What does it matter why we support Trump? or even if we are afraid of anything? you don't care for any reason I might offer, because you have already determined that all things Republican and all things Trump are stupid, racist, and stupid-racist. Why not ask yourself why you support Pelosi's holding hostage these workers because you truly don't care about a single one these not-getting-paid federal employees....at least not more than you care about being just plain ole' anti-Trump.

The President tells Congress he won't approve a spending bill that does not include money for a wall that he promised his base. He tells Federal workers they either can't come to work and collect a paycheck, or they must come to work but still do not get to collect a paycheck. His condition for approving a spending bill is getting this wall funded.

How is it possible to reframe that as the Democrat leadership being the ones holding a gun to the heads of Federal workers making the demands?

So far, Pelosi's only reason for not giving the President a .01 percent budget item is because it is "immoral"....yet, I am willing to bet her home has a wall around it. Nevertheless, she can get all these workers paid quite easily because she wasn't elected promising a wall to the American people...in fact, her constituency is not even the country....its one district with some additional babysitting duties in a chamber in D.C.. Point being, Trump is simply doing what he was elected to do...specifically....what is Pelosi doing?
