Oh wait, I forgot, we on the Right are "racist and xenophobic", were aren't actually supposed to be consistent in our values. Except we are... We have never been racist or xenophobic, no matter how much the Left "proclaims" it so by absolutely no evidence whatsoever, and the only evidence you all present is that simply being for border security IS the actual evidence. So, let's say there was a similar problem with the northern border that had been going on for years and hasn't improved during the current administration... that would be a good reason to shut down the government and/or declaring a state of emergency, in order to build a northern wall, yeah?
