Oh well if you're going to goblather there, I might as well.
We had occasion to help someone out with a medical bill yesterday. When the resident Trump supporter talked to the recipient I heard him say "What can I say? I thought Trump was going to help us out with health care and the idiot lied."

He was featured in an episode of Radiolab, and I thought he was quite interesting. I have the book on hold at my friendly neighborhood library.
Thanks for the tip, RI. I'll have to look it up.

Would you allow visitors of the park to go down to the river like the people in this photograph? Or is allowing that too big of a national security risk?
The Rio Grande river border between Texas and Mexico is about a thousand miles long. The border wall wouldn't be able to be built in the middle of the river. It would have to be built at least a quarter mile away from the Rio Grande river. Building a big border along the Rio Grande would essentially cede that quarter mile of land to Mexico, and those people in that photo would likely not be allowed to go down to the Rio Grande river.

How much do we cede to pregnant Mexican women stepping unimpeded into US hospitals to have anchor babies? Once they set foot on US soil the US taxpayer is on the hook one way or another. Perhaps the wall might make this old trick a little more difficult to pull?
And when the confederates saw Jackson standing fearless as a stone wall the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

How would you propose strengthening border security along the Rio Grande?

Which one are you playing in this post - liar, or fool?

But even if it was true - seems that spending on health care access and insurance for Americans is certainly a more worthy expenditure than building a wall that doesn't stop immigrants, terrorists or drug smuggling. YMMV, of course.

Even if that were true, the fact still remains that the costs and problems cited upthread that would most likely be caused by the wall far outweigh the potential benefits.

I don't think stepping on US soil to have a baby should mean the taxpayer is now stuck paying for the child for the next 20 years. I would say change or clarify the law but thsa's more unlikely to pass than getting a wall built. You have to stop then from setting foot on US soil before the legal, medical, and welfare cost start to compound upon the taxpayer.

Again, no answer - just another talking point about immigration.
Is ajax18 using some kind of chatbot software to compose his responses?
