Trump does pass the first barrier with flying colors, which is it being very plausible. He has always acted with self interest and never gave any indications of religious beliefs until after he decided to run for president.

I don’t see any evidence of post-election religious beliefs, either. Just a habit of mangiling the occasional Bible verse or heading as necessary to keep religious voters in line in thinking that he’s ‘one of them’.
