Cry me a river. Liberals have had the majority of the media in the tank for them for decades, and the Conservos had to go to AM RADIO to get their message out. The fact they're even relevant after a concerted Liberal effort to push them off tv, print, and web media into AM radio and blogs is amazing, and also shows the weakness of much of the Democratic platform.

You're comparing apples and oranges.

1. The media was never "in the tank" for Liberals like you insinuate. This is the myth conjured up by the partisan hacks at FOX News who use this meme to justify their own existence. It has been demonstrated time and time again that the level of "in the tankness" at FOX news is nowhere paralleled in other media outlets. CNN and MSNBC may not be Republicans but they're hosting them on their shows and giving them equal voice. FOX News will every once in a while host an educated liberal but not before swearing and screaming at them once they've gotten their point across. You don't see this kind of thing play out on the "liberal" networks. Nor do you see any evidence that these networks are engaging in outright dishonesty to push their political views. Like FOX's memo instructing all their hosts to call the ACA "Government Run Healthcare" back in 2009, when they knew that it was no such thing. This would be like CNN getting busted for ordering their hosts to refer to CBP facilities as concentration camps.

Moreover, CNN and MSNBC have certainly played their role for the Republicans when they feel the need to constantly report on the dumb narratives Trump's team is constantly pushing to deflect attention away from their crimes. For example the Hillary email thing turned out to be a huge nothing burger, but CNN and MSNBC couldn't stop talking about for weeks even right up to the election. The fact that Trump was caught on video admitting to being a sexual predator got only a fraction of the coverage. Meanwhile, FOX News is pushing every dumb crackpot conspiracy theory there is while virtually everyone working for the network has or is trying to land a job in the Trump administration. Stop pretending both sides are equal and stop making dumb excuses for the Right's propaganda machine. It isn't a result of Leftist domination, it is just a result of their own dishonesty.

2. Talk radio has been infinitely more effective at indoctrinating people to extreme political beliefs. Comparing Alex Jones radio to NPR makes you look stupid. Talk radio is more effective because it is a constant subliminal indoctrination while people are riding in rush hour traffic for hours every day. These shows are run by uneducated college drop outs whose only talent in life is spewing hateful rhetoric and attracting like-minded morons. But you're saying they did this because that was their only venue to get their "point" across?

You act like the media has been giving the Democrats election wins all this time when 6 of the last 10 elections since 1981, have gone to Republicans.

You're also ignoring the fact that FOX news is the most watched channel in all of "news" networks and they have been for the past 20 years. So no, the media isn't in the tank for the Democrats. MSNBC has tried to replicate the FOX business model by being equally "entertaining" with more opinion than news, but they cannot truly replicate FOX's success because they're not willing to replace their more educated journalists with rabid opinion hacks like Hannity and Carlson. MSNBC doesn't have an equivalent of those two nimrods. Maddow is nothing like Piro. Cuomo is nothing like Carlson. One side had integrity and that matters to them, the other side is only interested in fighting for their political party, even if it means willful lying.

You are not alone. As a matter of fact, there is a continually growing number of citizens in this country that have have stopped engaging the utter nonsense that we keep hearing on a constant basis.

I hope that those who have simply dismissed and rejected these irrational voices are a silent majority. While I am not sure if it is a silent majority, it is indeed my hope.
