Presidents usually surround themselves with knowledgable people to help advise them. Donald Trump, on the other hand, gathers his information from biased and questionable sources.
Here are three examples:
1. Patrick Moore only claims to be the founder of Greenpeace. He does not in any way represent Greenpeace. He is a paid lobbyist for the conservative Heartland Institute, which spends a great deal of effort denying climate change (just like they denied harmful effects of secondhand smoke for Philip Morris). One of the current funders of the Heartland Institute is ExxonMobil.
2. Nightly bedtime calls with Sean Hannity.
3. Seeking the bulk of his advisory information from Fox Media and hostile foreign leaders.
This eschewing of good sources of information in favor of bad sources of information makes Trump an ill-informed President. No wonder he lies constantly and his facts are wrong about 75% of the time.
Isn’t lying to his Base, and his Base then willingly and proudly promoting that BS, just the regular everyday routine?
