It only becomes ever more obvious that by far the most outstanding characteristic of today's most prominent hard core Republican conservatives is their lack of and utter disdain for education and scientific reality. I actually think their most outstanding characteristic is hypocrisy. Second is stupidity and third is reveling in asshole behavior.

Antipathy toward science and education is only a byproduct of those primary features.

Well thought out response, POMM. You made me rethink what I said. I will amend my view to agree that antipathy toward science and education is a byproduct of those primary characteristics rather than a primary characteristic itself, probably one of the most, if not the most, evident and dangerous consequences of those characteristics.
